Buddy Team developing 3rd party tool for Diablo III

At this rate, I think we'll sooner get a sequel to Half Life before we get DemonBuddy.

 

You will note that I do not past here often. I absolutely LOVE HB/GB, and have used it for years. I am a lifer. Here is where my problem comes in right now. I'll preface this by saying that I do NOT sell gold. I dont, and I wont. I bot for my own enjoyment only. Usually to gather powerful items, etc. The problem I have waiting any longer is that there are other bots, as someone recently said, that do their jobs very well. Are they secure? No. Do I care? No. I'm a botter. I understand there is an element of risk.

What I am forced with determining, is risk versus reward. I can bot at LEAST, conservatively, 400k/gph with other products. Even if I got banned after a week, I will have over 80 million gold. even if it costs me a 60$ copy of d3, thats about 80 cents per million.. let me see you buy it at those prices. It cant be done yet.

Again, I applaud the buddy team. I love your work. There is ZERO comparison between the quality of your products on the market versus others, and for that I am thankful. But the problem I have run into now, is that Hawker has stated "a few more days" then in the same sentence say as late as next Monday.. thats almost another week from now.. not a few days. With RMAH soon to be implemented (we all know it will happen its just a matter of time), gold will no longer buy me the most powerful items on the market.. I'll have to spend real money. And its going to be a lot more real money than I'm going to waste by losing my farming account to a ban wave , even if I only get a week out of it.

For that reason alone, though I will still buy your bot when it comes out if d3 holds my interest long enough, I'm going to have to give another bot a chance first. I just cant afford to waste any more time not knowing when this one will be released. Theres a TINY window that botting gold in d3 is going to be good for, and as others have stated, it is closing quickly. a month from now, I'm not even sure what people will bot gold FOR... gold will be next to free, and all the good items will be on the RMAH.

 

Are you working on a follow bot for the bot?

I mean that's actualy a big and useful thing in diablo because of the lack of /follow commands.

I'd love to be able to have my bot follow my main account chars around and playing (Almost like having a friends *Foreveralone*, playing with you) very useful for boosting, powerleveling etc.

 

I would have to agree with Mahierl2005. It is so hard to wait when soon everything will be on the RMAH. I guess I shouldn't say everything because not everyone will use RMAH but it is possible. The real issue here is that the quality control for detection is much higher with the buddies. There are other bots (i think it was immortal) where you are PROHIBITED from talking about "warden" on their site and the mods won't talk to you about it because it works as a hack and is much easier to detect than some of the other ways out there.

Still though, it is enticing to try to farm as much as possible and at least make back the money for the game/bot before I get banned. /boggle

do you not all realise these few days will turn into a week or two maybe a month or so.........

the finished product will be worth the wait people, and in the mean time just use another one, ive had no problems with 5 of the other bots that are offered out there on the interwebs

 

Unfortunately the "Best' bots I've seen out there offer very little in protection from being found. I mostly want to bot because I hate farming not because I really want to make real world money. I also only bot when I am at my computer doing other things or in the room (what can I say I'm paranoid lazy person). Would rather wait for a product from people I've never been banned using in the way that I do then go to another bot who has reports of people having compromised accounts after turning on their auto log-in feature.

The way I look at it:
If there was a start up company that made a brand new car with new technology that is available right now but doesn't guarantee that their product is safe. Then you have Ferrari making a new car that should be out soon with the same technology but a lot more back end support and security features. Would you buy the new car now because you want it now or wait for the Ferrari?

 

I might sound rude but how can you be so sure that other bots are detected? Do you have access to its source code or what?

I know that HB always had best anti-warden measures but theres a big difference between telling how good your bot is VS telling how bad other bots are, Buddy products never needed to attack rivals in order to succeed.

 

Probably the same way that people in the past have given the heads up certain programs were being scanned by warden.

I did not see what he said as 'trashing' the competition, he did not even list what bot's he was referring to.

Guys, if you were serious about making money, you shouldn't have waited for DB.

If you want to bot for yourself, then an extra week won't kill you.
Go out, play other games, watch movies... Don't get burned off D3, so when DB comes out, you can pick it up again without getting disgusted.

 

The Warden is not scanning yet. But if you have bought another bot, the place to ask this question is their forums.

Some bot programs will not acknowledge it's existence in any way either in forums or in PMs. Browse their forums and if there is no mention of warden and their protection from it then GTFO. This is the reason I haven't found one I am willing to buy yet.

Everyone who decided to wait for DemonBuddy before botting took some serious opportunity losses.

People using VS bot have made tens of thousands of dollars by now.

By the time DemonBuddy releases, the value of gold will be very low and Blizzard will be much more active with banning. Though, to compensate, DemonBuddy should be safer against Warden than the other bots.

 

not to mention that VS bot atm is down and so is their website...
