Is there any way you could tell us what are you currently working on in regard of Buddy Wing? I'm really interested what features/fixes are there to come.

Shortly after the 1.3 patch. and I believe 1 update after to BW my BW shows no routines ever. I have re-installed BW several times and to several different locations as well as Trunk SVNd the new WingIt and still no routines which makes it impossible to use the bot. My bot is up to date as of this post and so is my WingIt yet it always tells me no routines found and they are fresh installs. Still nothing...

I wish the best to buddywing. I got the trial but at this point I have got nothing accomplished. It's really broken and the amount I need to babysit it. I may as just well play.

I know it's new and it's on the right path but it kinda reminds me of SWTOR release. A Alpha Beta version

      MiX74P3,
I just went through your posts as far back as 12Jun2012 (over a month of postings), and you have not posted a log *once*. Its not really surprising that attempts to help you with your problem have been lacking.

The following is *not* a log...
Although, this snippet does imply the product was not installed correctly (or it wasn't a clean install). We know that because Buddywing '289 did not ship with a file called Routines\WingIt\Routines\Advanced\Assassin\Madness.cs. (The latest release is '292, by the way).

In this post we tried to help--you were asked to install it to a non-"Desktop" and non-"C:/Program Files/" location. Yet, this latest information you post says you didn't do that.

If you *seriously* want help, help us help you: chill a bit, and learn how to read and follow instructions. And most importantly, learn how to attach a log that demonstrates the problem...

      cheers,
      chinajade

Did you redownload the new BW Version and deleted and updated the WingIt Folder?

Maybe its a problem with the name of your "games" folder or try a pc restart.

Thank you for the partial log. You've trimmed much stuff out that would've help diagnose the problem. This leaves us with guessing (again).

A few things I would try:
      • Put it in a directory name that does not have a space (" ") or extemporaneous periods (".") in the path. (E.g., you don't want part of the path to contain something like "C:/Games/Buddywing 1.0.887.292/"--bad because it has both a space and periods in the path component).
Don't pull anything fancy, just install a fresh copy to a directory called C:/Games/Buddywing/. If it works there, then put it wherever funny-named place you like.
      • Is drive "G:" a local-disk for you? Or, is it a network drive or removable drive of some kind? If it is a network or removable drive, I would install BuddyWing to a local disk and try again. If it works there, then move it to a network drive.
      • If you're on an illegal version of Windoze, get a legitimate copy and try again.
The illegal versions won't have all the updates and other system files you need to successfully run BosslandGmbH products.
I'm really sorry you're having so many problems with this. The problem is something with your system, as the shipped Buddywing works great for most of us.

I, for one, am done being toyed with with partial logs, non-information, and guessing. If you'd like to attach a real log next time, and tell the details us what all you have tried, perhaps we'll have another look.

At this point, you may just want to ask for your money back.

      cheers,
      chinajade

China I really don't understand what you mean by being toyed with with partial logs. I posted a partial log awhile back because I couldn't fit the entire log but the PasteBin Log I posted was a complete log just to let you know. I am on a legit version of Windows 7 not Windoze. And I don't know why its not working either thats kind of the reason I have come here to try and get this fixed with more knowledgeable peoples feedback. Thanx

I think he means with the toyed logs. Is posting on another site, instead of through here. And the end of log must be cut off cause doesn't have the big chunk that comes when you push stop.
Also where you have the bot is "g:\G4M3S\PC Bots\SWTORBW"
      Try putting in g:/Games/PcBots/SWTORBW
No spaces, nothing weird. Like suggested.

And keep in mind changes is made to the bot, wingit, things. Daily, more then once a day. A problem you have today maybe fixed in few minutes, hours. The Devs work very hard trying to tackle multiple problems so sometimes get testy when dealing with someone who doesn't follow normal protocol of reporting problems.
Just like with most computer problems a simple reboot fixes most problems. Same here, a simple clean reinstall and update of wingit fixes most problems.

Yeah, the big thing is that there's no reason to post a log anywhere other then attached to your message on here. If it's too large to attach then just Zip it then attach it. There's no log file that cannot be attached once it is zipped up.

No, not quite what I meant. First let me state that I am neither mad nor trying to pick a fight, just very very frustrated. I can work with stuff posted to pastebin.com or pastie.org, if its the appropriate information.

A Buddywing log has these characteristics:
      • A logfile is retreived from the Buddywing Logs subdirectory.
It should be a log that demonstrates the problem--not the first one you happen to run across.
      • A logfile has timestamps in it
      • A logfile has _useful_ stuff in it.
Nowhere that I can find is that Buddywing scrolly window called a 'log'.
Along with no timestamps, there is *much* missing information between these two lines in the "log" that MiX74P3 posted...
      Login Success!
      ...<where's this info?>...
      User is a Warrior

But its the fact that questions go unanswered, and simple requests go unheeded that makes things very difficult. For instance, in the most recent response, one of the three questions are answered...
"I am on a legit version of Windows 7"--very good answer. That leaves us with no information about the other things we asked to try:
      • What about "G:" being a network drive? Did he try a non-network, non-removable drive location?
      • Was the un-funny named "C:/Games/Buddywing/" location tried?
      • Was it a clean install?
The other implied question (that I should have stated outright in my last post) is "Is your Windoze patched and up-to-date?"

I'm very sorry if I've put anyone on the defensive, and certainly don't mean my 'help' as any kind of beratement. As I said, I'm frustrated. Obviously, my cranky disposition is probably not suitable for "help desk support". Now, get off my lawn!

      cheers,
      chinajade

Still no timestamp but better. If I seen that I would delete CompiledAssemblie folder, update wingit, try again. just me.
Also for testing purposes. have you tried another class? Or only playing warrior.
