My grinding profiles run all night without issue when I let them. The only time they stop working is when the game itself decides it needs to restart, which is a SWToR issue, or the nav servers go down. In fact, I've had bots running for the past three hours while I was completely afk (watching movies). It sounds to me like you need better profiles. EDIT You do know the team here decided to restart BW subscriptions again in some form, don't you? We're just waiting to hear the specifics.
I agree...created my own grind profiles now...( gawd so simple once you know how to) and they run crazy! My lvl 35 toon has almost 500k creds lol....
Hey now, there was also this: Starting a bot three hours before posting does not mean the bot will only run for three hours. However, I wouldn't recommend running them for too many straight hours regardless; in my case, I get a bit paranoid when I leave them running for more than five or six without a break.
I can barely get mine to run AFK at all, constant stops and just stands there Even now, it's still just stopping and doing Generating path to Kill Target <5.1306, 7.193726, 98.6069> Waiting for path request to finish... Generating path to Kill Target <5.1306, 7.193726, 98.6069> Waiting for path request to finish... I am at the correct area this time, but it will kill one mob, and spit that message and will do nothing for 5 minutes, until something close enough (like right in front of him) spawns, he'll then just kill it and just stand there lol * Stopped Bot, moved him around, hit start, kill a mob, then ran to an elite, trying to kill it, and just dies, like every other time it does this. I works OK for about an hour, after that, its problem after problem. (Plus, Is there a way to set pull distance, as most times it will ran direct to them, have them all pretty much stand on top of him and attack, and I am a Bounty Hunter )
Since the nav servers are currently working, I have a few ideas: Check the level range in your grind profile; it won't move unless your character is within that range Try restarting the game and the bot Check your internet connectivity I'm not sure what else might be causing that problem, provided you're in the correct area. Good luck!
I really hope this gets up and running again. I used to use HB alot and just returned from a break from gaming and i was devastated to find Buddy Wing all locked up. Fingers crossed!
All of which are fine, I am using the 10-14, and I went afk came back, and saw it just standing under the bridge AFK. What I don't understand it, I restart SWTOR and Bot, and it will just instantly start up with the navigation errors all over again, I try and move him, but it runs straight back to the one spot, and yes, this time I am in the correct area. Only way I can get it to work, in the slightest, is move him right next to mobs and hit start, but even then, once it kills em, it makes its way back to that particular spot, so very annoying. I just shut it off, it just wont work, tried several profile, even starting crashing now.
The bot uses a navigation server for movement, but steep changes in elevation and odd blocking shapes have been known to throw it for a curve. For example, it took me quite a few attempts to find a decent grind location on Nar Shaddaa with all of its cramped corridors and columns and boxes and wreckage, but I had an easier time with Voss and its large, open areas. Anyway, it's possible the bridge itself might be part of the issue. Have you tried creating your own grind profile? Some of the following criteria might help: Minimal changes in elevation where the bot can comfortably navigate Groups spread out, with minimal patrols A large enough area so that you're not bouncing back and forth suspiciously from location to location while waiting for respawns A route from the vendor which does not involve getting stuck; dying a few times is the best way to test this
No, I haven't create my own profile, I did add additional hotspots to a current one though, thing is, It worked fine, went past the bridge and all, but on its second cycle, it just stood there and did nothing, and I just clicked back on to SWTOR now, and again, it's just standing there, but it's been past it before. This area just sucks, there are objects everywhere, but since Im not that familiar with the game, Im not sure where such decent areas exist. I restarted BW, now it wont move at all, no matter in the area, just stands there. To be honest we need Kick's input to perfect the quest bot. If we can get pub and Imp questing 1-50 working afk then it's going to killer!
What is decent leveling time? With BW, I went from 0 - 13 (almost 14 lol) in 11 Hours, that seems damn long
Don't worry my bot is doing exactly the same thing, how about some of these "Fanboys" help people with a set up guide. That might help people like me and you support the cause. As it stands I dont even bother to log into SWTOR and try to bot anymore got sick of it freezing the game and being unable to move.
Can you please take the issues with the bot out of this thread and over to the BW issue sub-fourm. This thread is for people hoping to have BuddyWing brought back for purchase.
I had, only nobody ever seems to help there either, at least I received some help here. I don't see how they can justify reselling, I can barely get it to work properly, and receive little to no help from staff, other then "Nav server is working"
It's all in the settings and the profiles. You need to tweak them. I have never used the BWing bot but I have used WOW bots since day one and HB has been the best by far but if you don't set it up right with proper tweeks and profiles it will flake out. I would love for them to resell it, just to try it out. The buddy bots are by far the best I have ever used once they are set up correctly but thats the rub. Documents on the all bots are bad but from my xp as a programmer myself, programmers love to code but they hate to teach or document their code.
Same, HB works so much better then BW, I never had a single issue w/ HB, but BW has little to no setting at all, and sh*t just constantly goes wrong. Biggest issue with BW is its navigation, fix that, I would love them long time
