I was in the top 10 raiding guild in my server, I was also the best geared full 245 or something... and they noticed me botting so I had to cut down, they really hate bots (like wow kissasses), eventually I left because I had all the gear and there were people holding us back but I'm the only one who said anything. Made a new character solved all my problems.
Only two guildmates know that I bot. They are long-time real life friends since before we started playing WoW and they just don't care at all. I don't have all of my toons into the guild, besides. My two farmers and my bank toon are in a personal guild, and I only ask for invite when I don't need to AFK-bot with that toon (usually when they're lvl.85 and fully PvP-equipped). Even being a very populated guild, I don't think that being six hours running BGs without saying a word would be unnoticed, hehe...
My guilds are close friends of mine I met a few years back. They don't know I even bot. I bot smart. Most of my guildmates go to bed at midnight after a raid night, so I run my bot until 2-3am then log off. No one really bothers me. They know I have tons of gold but don't ask me how lol.
Just RealID friends, of which some are guildies, but mostly RL friends. I'm a CO in my guild and I don't think my GM knows
my server hasnt reached the stage alot of ppl like urs has.. I dont know how u still play wow when eeryone bots.
Because all I really do is bot...lol. I hardly actually play the game at all. To me, botting has become my hobby, not playing the game. haha.
I would love to see a Lazy Raider raid team. Or even better... 10 afk bots successfully completing Dragon Soul.
We are working on the Lazy Raider thing if nothing else with our own accounts for older content for fun. LOL. I can't wait to see it happen with the proper CCs in place. Will let you know if it works.
I used to be in a guild, they pretty much know all that i botted, they didn't mind, i dumped over 5k/gold a day on the gbank for repairs/upgears/food and everyone was happy
Only my GM and the Officers knew how much I contributed to the guild. The GM would deposit all the mats/raid items/gear/gold and we also had a side deal with ore/prospecting. He would prospect, keep what the guild needed, cut as he saw fit, vendor/ah as well and I'd get 80%, the gVault got 10, he kept 10. Saved me tons of time. Kept them happy. Kept my name out of the Guild Logs.
The whole guild knows that i'm botting. Some like it as i'm sponsoring flasks, others don't like bots at all but they don't know my bot toon names.
Only one guy in my guild knows i bot. We were running the uldum mining only profile for like 36 hours straight together.(Thats when we found out.)
