I know it takes a lot of work to develop something like this and I know from past experience that fpsware does great work, on top of that this is something I could use. I would definitely donate.
Bump, so it does not get berried. Update: Beta testing is well under way on the rewritten core and results are much better than expected. In some cases nodes per hour (NPH) have trippled. Development on the new core will likely take up the next week. Once this is stable I'll start working towards the public beta.
This seems to be the hot topic for the moment so I decided to vote. I voted 'No' simply because this is a botbase I won't use as I don't use the bot for gathering. It's not a matter of trust in safety of GB2 or this, it's just a matter that I don't use the bot for profit (gold or $$). If this would be a botbase I would use often I wouldn't mind donating. I've donated before, but only for things I use and like.
Thanks for your vote and explaining why you voted that way. I don't farm for dollars, I farm for materials to use or sell on the AH for gold (personal use).
I would donate, but only if there is also a free version with limited functions or a test license. I know your projects are great, but I dont "buy" something that I haven`t tested. But if I test something and like it, i would surely donate. I donatet on a few projects here. Some are great, some are crappy. But I couldn`t really tell that before I tested them. Another big point is the update. If I give you money for a product that I like, I have to be sure that I can use it for the next couple of months. There is a nother nice farming botbase around here (don`t want to name it) that is great and is free (for now) but I couldn`t use it for a long time because it wasn`t updated. Thats ok, because it is free. But if i give money for something I want it to work. I would be happy to try your botbase on my 2 Herb/Mining chars (for personal use, not for gold selling) and give you feedback. And like I said, if I like it, i will surely donate.
Mr Pibb, your comments reflect the fact you have not read the previous posts in regards to the definition of "donation" vs "payment".
No, I am aware of that. But in this forum are a lot of "donation" versions of botbases or plugins that offer more features to the donater than to the non donater. Why? According to the forum rules payment versions are not allowed. (I?m not really in to that and I really don`t care about it, thats how a dev explained it to me) But what I really want to say is, that i would only donate for something when i can be sure, that it will also work in the near future. (lets say 6 months) There are some plugins around here, I really like, I donated to the devs, although I didn?t have to to use the full features. I just did it to say "thank you". But shortly after the donation a new patch came out and the plugins have never been updated. That kind of sucks. If I would have known that before, 5$ would have been enough. So I would only donate to a project with a future! Thats what I want to say.
Hey FPSWARe, I didn't get a chance to tell you in Skype about the latest BETA test. It's insanely fast and amazing now! Thank you so much for allowing me to beta test such an awesome product!
If I get enough request I'll stream the new BETA for about 30 minutes so everyone can see what it does
As always, Fpsware GUI is freaking awesome, I really love that. And there will be less ban from Blizzard using it I think because there's not gather route. (That all I can say because I'm a noob beside my PvP WoW) Thank Fpsware. Edit: As a developer, by watching the video, I can imagine how much time/code he put in this botbase. Really appreciate your work Fpsware.
I would donate, but would feel better about donating if the source were made public only in the event you stop updating this. Just to clarify, I don't think the source should be public now, but when you feel like not maintaining it anymore. (We've all been there >.>)
