Nothing to teach so far ... - get a copy of Honorbuddy - get a copy of Visual Studio - get a copy of the Raf Bot files - create a Solution in Visual Studio and add all the needed files - add references to your project as needed - compile ... and u'll see the first issues or the shorter way - copy the files from raf bot into your HB bot folder - start hb - read the reported errors from the start (most of the errors occur withing his library) - fix them one by one and start at step 2 until all errors are fixed ... this way is a faster start up, but will take a lil bit longer all in all, the first way ... will give you a lot of headaches ^^ since the project itself has some dependicies and will fail compiling because of them in first place, and because of the api changes in second place i stopped after fixing first 3 files (the whole library + bot has something around 100 files)
no ... this would mean i have to support it for at least 18 months ... or until the next xpac .. don't get me wrong ... even if it will work after fixing ...i'm not sure if i want to have the trouble in supporting a product that is not mine
Ok Is it possible to hook into the Partybot and disable it's mounting code? I've written a small plugin that is running on the second (non handplayed) bot that mounts the Obsidian Nightwing on my first char but Partybot is so obsessed about mounting that it doesn't work with it.
FPS raf Can you please share your Visual studio solution? I am trying to manage those references, but since I am a noob the only thing I do is pain in my head. Is it c# or c++ project?
It is c# ... And if u have issues to reference the right stuff,u shouldn't try to fix it All needed references are dll and exe from Hb + the sources of the gui (can be found in svn)
Damn, any chance for a fix or a payed buddy store upload? This bot was really good. I cant figure how to compile it in VS because it says it must be attached to an executable or something.
I will def pay for this, I was going crazy trying to remember the bot I used like 4 months ago for RAF and I didnt find it because he discontinued it not sure if it was the best for everyone but for me it was perfect.
Even though it's maybe 30hours /played to 90 I still find it boring to play dungeons because they're so easy. Atm using grind profile + party bot. (3acc raf) fully afk.
For everybody offering to pay, I recommend seeing what Eclipse is working on with Shadow Bot Looks on top to be something similar from scratch, if he knew there might be a few more folks out there interested it might move things along.
Ok I decided I'll do dungeons again. I got 1-60 in 6hours so far. I'm prot with boa weapon. I got 3 dps hunters + 1 healer assisting me = 4bots I first tryed party bot but it's very bad because it crashes constantly. Then I tryed dungeon buddy and it works just like old fpsware. I don't see any advantage fpsware has over dungeonbot. 1. Bot takes all quests automatically. 2. Bot loots all quest mobs automatically. 3. I get 100% all dungeon items on my tank. It's actually not that easy as I thought. I take lot more damage so I need be careful with cds but on good side you get lot more xp now. It took me 9 dungeons to get 60.
Dungeonbuddy is WONDERFUL...once you get to level 15....RAF Bot made that first 15 levels so much easier to get, even if you had to run one of the characters manually.
Took me 1.5h, kinda long and boring. I used party bot. 4 ppl follow my toon. They can autoaccept shared quest and pickup questitems but I need manually to return. This could work haven't had time to test yet: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/plugins/leveling/189790-rafplugin-celisuis.html As for dungeon buddy it's imo actually lot better than fpsware because there are some boss mechanics where you need to move and dungeon buddy is nicely scripted for it. With fpsware it's rather annoying.
The thing with this bot base is that it could be used outside of dungeon's as well. Dungeon buddy is only for running dungeon's. This allowed you to do anything with a group of toons in like questing or grinding. Very powerful.
It's was okay for questing I guess but it took me 12hours to get to 1-85 with dungeons so I feel like questing is kind of bleh because it's insanely slow.
With Max Level Party Bot & a RAF/Assist bot is awesome,e specially in current content with things like the group dailies. I run a Prot warrior and ran a resto druid from 90-100 questing, took me about 50 hours total of game play, but I was doing a bunch of random shit other than just leveling. It was a mix of questing and finding all the easter eggs that yield experience. Dungeon Buddy is great in dungeons, and I switch botbase when I go into a dungeon (we did a few while leveling) because of this. Standing in shit is the biggest problem I've seen with lots of things. Some of the current dungeons don't have all the don't stand in stuff mechanics built in.
Lets say i want to do ICC with 5 bots, IM the tank and i control the charatcer while i have 4 bots behind me, 1 healer and 3 dps, if im not wrong Dungeonbot cant queue to those dungeons while your lvl 100 right? So i guess this is where fpsware raf bot comes in handy!?
Looks like a lot of people would pay for this I would. I used it to group 2 or 3 of my own toons together, and control 1, having the others follow around and kill stuff. Really good for rare killing!!
