Yes, $5 gift card. Make sure you mention the gift card at checkout, they'll issue one if they're not one of the stingy stores. As long as the deal doesn't say "valid online only" they're supposed to match it. "Store Pickup: Not Available" just means you can't RESERVE one in store.

Let's just say I took FULL advantage of this offer!

I ended up cleaning out two Best Buy's where I live. I then went to a third Best Buy and the retard at the register was confused and called the store manager. Then the bitch manager implemented a limit of three per person policy for "her" store. At the time I was attempting to purchase 30 more copies with the intent of buying them, walking to my car, putting them in my trunk, and going to get the remaining 25 copies they had there.

Well needless to say, after her “on the spot” per person limit, I got pissed and tried to argue with her and ended up telling her to shove them all up her ass. LOL! I was then promptly asked to leave the store. HAHA! So tomorrow I'm going in disguise to buy them and I'm only going to buy them ten at a time until they are out.

Honestly, I have no plans to play all of these (if it wasn't for botting I wouldn't even play WoW anyway). I figured even if I resold them at $10 a piece, it’s still all a $9.50 profit for me anyway (tax ended up being about 50 cents per box in my state). As for the Best Buy gift cards… I was using them to buy crap there anyway. I also opted NOT to buy the $10 Battle Chest, because not only was there under fifteen in every store I went too, the profit margin ends up being much smaller than the vanilla WoW. In the end, each copy of the Battle Chest sets you back $10 compared to just paying the tax (50 cents for me) on the vanilla WoW. On average the Battle Chest sells for around $25, so subtract your inital investment of $10 and your profit margin is only $15. Not really worth considering all your paying for on the vanilla WoW is tax... not to mention that there's a lot more of them available to buy.

      SUMMARY

Total retail vaule of items I purchased (with tax) = $1693.15
      Total Investment= $185.00
Total value of remaining gift cards= $146.50
Total end cost to me (out of pocket) = $38.50

Also, here’s how I executed my purchases for those interested.

I started with about $185 cash to buy the vanilla WoW’s with. That got me 33 copies of WoW for $181.50 ($165 for the games $16.50 in tax). I then got back thirty-three $5 gift cards (which was a pain in the ass because it was literally thirty-three individual $5 gift cards). After purchasing those, I walked to my car, put them in my trunk and walked right back in the store and loaded up my cart again. The second time I cleaned out that store and got another thirty copies and paid for it with my gift cards I had gotten 15 minutes earlier. The second purchase came out to be $150 for the games and about $15 in taxes (this time I paid for them with the gift cards I got from my previous trip).

I repeated this process in each Best Buy store that would sell them to me.

Here are some tips in case you plan on doing it the way I did it.

      1. Remember to calculate in local taxes because if you’re paying with all gift cards (after your initial purchase), each purchase needs to be smaller to cover the total cost. Tax is really the only out of pocket expense you’ll have as long as you’re going to end up buying stuff with the gift cards (after they’ve run out of copies of the game that is).

      2. Don’t buy more than ten copies of WoW in a single transaction… it locks up Best Buy’s registers and they system freaks out when it tries to process more than ten gift cards (the ones your getting back). I had a ton of copies in my cart, but made up to 4 transactions each time I was at the register.

      3. Don’t give a shit if people in line behind you start whining because you're taking a long time, scanning all those gift cards you're getting back takes time and you'll end up getting a shitload of them at end. So if you’re at the point where you’re paying with gift cards, expect it to take twice as long as your first purchase because they have to swipe each gift card you're using in addition to the ones your getting.

      4. Detach and scratch of the gift cards you get when you’re sitting in your car or something, that way it goes faster when you check out.

      5. Use a Reward Zone card, because even though you get a $5.00 gift card back, each purchase counts for reward zone points.

      6. DON’T do what I did and get pissed off if they slap a limit on you… because you’ll end up like me and have to buy then in disguise LOL! If you want, you can play it safe and buy only 10 copies at a time… that way people aren’t getting pissed the line is taking forever and the manager won’t stop by to see what’s taking so long either. I’m fairly confident that if the store manager see’s you trying to buy 30+ copies of WoW and see’s a crap load of gift cards being issued…they’ll do the same thing they did to me at the last store I went too.

      7. I’d highly recommend you not tell them you have any intention of reselling them, because they will probably limit how many that you can buy. Although I didn’t end up using this explanation myself… I came up with a good reason why someone would want to buy so many copies of the game. So here it is…
Say you work for a charity that helps kids with developmental/learning issues and that playing video games helps with their hand eye coordination. In addition, you can say the game mechanics are designed to not only help with their reading and writing skills, but it helps them with their problem solving skills as well (when they are questing etc.). FYI, all of this is actually true information (with the execption of me actually working for the charity that is). I personally know a number of kids that play WoW for the exact reason I noted here.

      8. It's fairly easy to "launder" your gift cards if you dont want to carry a crap load of them around. Just buy something that's equal to (or greater than) the total amount of gift cards you have (it will take a while for the cashier to swipe them all, so be prepared). Then take the thing you just bought with the gift cards back. The customer service desk will take the total amount and put it on a single gift card instead of issuing you the same number of cards you used to buy it with.

      9. Lastly, keep in mind that you really not doing anything wrong here. Unlike botting, this is actually legit! LOL! Althought it may seem odd to some people, you’re still not doing anything wrong. I had a moron in line behind me complaining to someone that I was “scamming the system”, so I turned around and told him that not only am I doing nothing wrong, but it was Best Buy that thought up the promotion and offered it to its customers with no restrictions. I said it’s not like I printed up my own Best Buy ad was trying to sneak some shit that didn’t exist… it was THEIR promotion… not mine… and I was taking them up on it. I then told him to STFU and mind his own business, which he promptly did… because he didn’t think I heard his dumb ass comment and I could have easily kicked his ass.

      Hope this helps someone out!

So you spent $185 total out of pocket that bought you 33 copies. and with those 33 copies you bought another 30 with the GC's, So your total out of pocket expense was $185 from the first order PLUS the Tax from the 2nd purchase correct? not total cost out of pocket $38.50

Well I didn't consider the gift cards an out of pocket expense, because in the end I used them on other stuff. I came up with the $38.50 amount because that's the tax I had to pay for all of the copies of WoW I got. Since I couldn't recoup the cost of the tax anywhere, I considered it an out of pocket expense. I basically used eleven gift card's for every ten copies I bought (the eleventh gift card being used to pay taxes). You could however, simply just pay the taxes at the end so you always that the same number of gift cards available. I suppose that would be slightly faster.

I should also clarify that in the end I purchased 77 copies of vanilla WoW. So 77 copies of WoW x .50 (taxes per box) = $38.50 in taxes. That's how I came up with the $38.50 out of pocket expense.

So even when you pay with the giftcards for say 10 copies they will turn around and give you another 10 giftcards without even thinking about it lol?

Results in only to best buys around me and I didn't go until this afternoon. I ended up with 19 vanilla's and 4 battlechests for a grand total of $49.45 out of pocket(I paid for my 1st 8 copies and then used giftcards on the rest of the vanilla's) After confirming that they had none left in the back at either best buy I just used the remaining $40 in giftcards to add 4 battle chests to my bountiful bounty :)
