what i said was that there is no difference between say 2 processors or a processor with 2 cores.

there is absolutely benefit to giving the VM more vCPUs.

So last week I went to a pawn shop and picked up an old AMD X2 compaq...moderate specs for its class...been trying to run a 5 bot team on it...was VERY slow..using some of the tips in this thread, my bots are now running at ~20 fps...up from 0-5 :p So thanks for that! ^_^

So my tip to add....if you're using HBRelog...go into the Window tab and put in some crazy high number for the ratio box...(99, for instance), it'll turn your WoW window into a tiny little title bar..and HB doesn't seem to notice. Not tested extensively, but seems to be working! ^_^

you guys are tards calling vmware. vmware is the company and they make different virtualization software. if you dont specify which specific software but just specify the company, that doesnt do anyone any good.

If I were a tard like you i'd probably default to workstation. But I a much more sophisticated understanding of IT and vmware products than you

Why are you doing this? What do you gain from it?

Anyone would think this is related to virtualization in any case.

      VMware.

Congratulations, you can point out spelling mistakes!
      (actually auto-correction in this case)

that is funny. but your comment is irrelevant. the previous posts mention Workstation specifically. So your comment shows your ignorance on many levels.

You remind me of a user. Like those people that say Adobe instead of Acrobat or Reader. But hey, if you want to be unspecific and confuse people, go for it

      Greetings
I've gotten i7 3770K, OC to 4,4 GHz but still running 5 bot with the above settings takes out 50-60% CPU usage, can this be true? I'm afraid to upgrade to 10 bots, as it could be a waste of money :(.

Any ideas, suggestions or advice ?

Is it directed to me buddy ? If so, why? I've manged to clock it to 4,2GHz instead of only 3.4GHz, reason I can't go higher is because I got the stock cooler only.

If there is someone still using VM's i'm actually needing help
I created one to run a squad of 5 bots with dungeonbuddy
      My real PC hardware is still really good : i7 3770k (no oc) / 16g DDR3 gskill / SSD / GTX660 with 2gb ram
My VM spec : 8 gig ram / 8 cores / 90gig SSD (I've red some post people usually says 4-5go and 4 cores are enough)

I optimised it like it says in the first post but I still have shitty performances : 2-4 fps average and a shit load of lags when they TP to orgimar to repair. I'm not even 50% of my processor and ram

      VMware.jpg

If anyone has a clue of why does this do that it would help me a lot, maybe because i'm running wow on the same SSD with my real PC and my VM ?
