Trying to install Diablo3 on the WM with windows 7, but the process always is stuck on "updating setup files..." With these in log file: Secondory logon service is running, what could be the problem? Any advice would be appreciated. Edit: Tried standard things as XP-compatible, run as admin, firewall turn off, and with 20th attempt installation had started.
Make a shortcut from your "C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" to the desktop. Start > Run > cmd In cmd type "C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch enjoy.
You didnt get it. I couldnt even install Diablo 3. Then after I installed it, It happened again, couldnt run the game one time. What a weird thing. Also trying now to level my char under VM win7. It is impossible to play with such slow motion, when your commands take action in 2 seconds and all the picture constantly lagging, like 5 fps or so. Seems I made all the optimizations mention here, but nevertheless it doesn't help. Anyone of you who has smooth setup, is it possible for human to play on your VM diablo?
Why are you installing diablo 3 on your vmware? You should be running diablo from your C:\ drive, where you copied your files from. If you are running diablo from Z:\ it will be extremely slow with the bot running. You MUST run it from the C:\ drive where you copied your files over.
use BRIDGED network connection in your VM. but faster and safer if you use OpenVŠ N instead pro.x.y cap.
I finally got to step 7!!! LoL. I just dont understand what to do here. I DID read the instructions, however i do not understand what iam to "do myself" I'm assuming that I cant copy/paste the code provided. How do I go about compilign this file myself? I see the reply on page 29. suggesting that I can copy and paste that text into notepad and save. Not sure if those directories will apply to me, I do have shared files directly in my c: drive. Will I need to make changes? Where should I save the newly created .bat file to? _______________________________________________________________________________ When Usin cmd run c:\diablo III\Diablo III.exe it still tries to load the updater and bugs out I don't understand the terminology "- launch" maybe i am doing it wrong Here is the message I get... ____________________________________ Diablo III Launcher Failed to open a required file. Please check your internet connection and try again. ____________________________________ Is this as simple as my VM not being connected to the net? I am currently showing an active internet connection on my VMGuest thanks geo
Here is exactly what you should have for your Diablo 3 bat file. (US version) After seeing this you should understand how to write the demonbuddy one as well. As for the directories, you do have to make changes in terms of directory if you demonbuddy folder is anything but "Diablo III - Demonbuddy". You still need to manually go in and add all the "\" signs in the correct places. ______________________________________________________________ Type into command prompt : "C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch That will launch it directly into the client, bypassing the setup files ______________________________________________________________ It is as simple as just having an internet connection for VMware. =)
I just finished updating my batch file with what you provided. I didnt make any "\" changes because my d3 folder is where it is. I'm assuming that's wher eit should be to match up with that code. I still am receiving the message "Failed to load a required file" For shjts and giggles in did a quick firefox install to see if the internet was working outside of D3 Internet works fine. So my Vm must be connected. The error message code is Error code: BLZPTS0000F ANy ideas? thanks geo
May I ask you what modifications should I do if I want to do this same thing with guildwars 2? Or is it too long to explain or is it as simple as finding the important files and .dll 's and place them to mkdir / mklinks ? (I dont expect you to know what or how gw2 is different from diablo 3 but just in theory) edit. I got it working without mkdir's and mklink's (with just shared folders) btw. what is the point of these mkdir etc. ?
Have following problem: Any ram settings, the ram on the host would get eaten up over time, causing all kinds of nasty shit. Is it caused by workstation itself? I'm running v9.
Vortex, I've got the same problem. CleanMem program helps a bit, a restart helps a lot =) You've got good hardware specs, how many vm's with bots your pc can handle?
hey guys why wouldn't someone just use the method that doesn't require any software? I'm talking about making more folders and changing a few names? I'm wondering because i don't know what path to take, i eventually want to try get 5 bots running on one computer
Hello guys! This guide is very helpful, and from what I can gather this would be the way to mask my IP and randomize my MAC adress for WoW Botting aswell? I have an pc with i7 920, 6gb ram and 5870... How many instances of vmware is good for this? Is the only thing holding me back perhaps more RAM?
Running 16 atm still want SOME resources for playing other games ofcourse . Though yeh restarting helps alot. It's just damn annoying to see all the memory getting eaten over time. Still wondering what the cause of this is. As even limiting the use of ram (by space allocated on host setting) doesn't stop it from raping the ram edit: also read somewhere that it wasn't possible for workstation to pass on pci to the vmware, which is a shame... would've bought another graph card to just pass it on to the vm's
