You mean it's normal to have the same IP on host + each VM ?

OK! Confirmed working, and with 3.1 gb on the disk! Thanks so much for the guide man ;)

PS One thing you forget to mention.. for each clone, you have to go and manually re-enable the network sharing in VMware Options (with VM shutdown).

Is it wise to change the HWID of the shared folder partition? (Z:\ by default)
Or blizz gets only your local hardware id of your system hdd?

thank you very much for the guide, this thread has been very helpful.

i've ran into an issue though. when i load up my copy of DB it always crashes, before i can even enter a key. i have .net framework 4.0 , but im not sure what im doing thats causing the crashing. win 7, and ive tried both networked db and a local downloaded fresh copy of db.

any help would be greatly appreciated

i can't make it work :( so i decide to copy the diablo 3 folder to VMguest.... but when i run diablo II.exe it stucks forever at "updating setup files" i cant't run it from a copy in vmguest? is it possible only from runing it via network from vm host like you said on your guide?
