HB ARCHIVES: Kick's Old Posts Thread--DO NOT DELETE!

The 5 of 6 quests for that area were tested last night. They worked when I posted them. If your bot is sitting at the quest giver, there are multiple reasons:

1) Navigation issues due to pathing. Can be seen in log as "unable to path".
2) Unclean cache folder, or old install. Can be seen in log as "checked If, done." When it shouldn't be.
3) Your copy of my profile is out of date. Can be seen in log on profile load, showing wrong version number.

In short, do you have a log file?

 

You don't need the charms to get gear, they only increase your chances for getting them on a second roll. I have actually received 2 of the same item, one on the roll, an the same on a coin.

Does this profile load the next set of dailies after one finishes? If so which should I run first so it does them all?

 

Firstly, I love your avatar image. Every time I see it i laugh out loud.

Second: Daily Grind will run every profile in order, going from Tillers, Cloud Serpent, Klaxxi, Golden lotus, August Celestials, Shado-Pan, to Anglers. You can start anywhere, but it will follow this path, and end on anglers.

 

I cranked through it manually, and I've even tried to comment out the quests it keeps reaching for, no avail. And I've repeatedly defaulted back to the svn release, to no avail either.

I get a lot of these reference assembly lines...

One would think with VS2k12 installed that I wouldn't be missing any runtimes though.

 

Ok so first of all, do I run the Daily Grind profile when I am wanting to do all my dailies? Also, why does it want me to do anglers dailies, and it tries to get me to do shado pan when I am not exalted with golden lotus. On top of that, it likes to pick up all the quests and then do nothing. I have tried to delete the cache folder, and a new installation and it keep messing up.. what am I doing wrong?

 

First, you don't NEED to run Daily Grind. You can run starting where you want if you choose. daily Grind will start at the beginning and go all the way thru though.

It will always end with Anglers.

The rep checks don't work for me. I've tried. Worst case now is it flies to the kicker and nothing happens. If you aren't revered with Golden Lotus, you can stop the profiles after GL finishes. AC and SP are all that's left after, plus Anglers.

If you are running it and it won't do quests, make a fresh install. To be 100% sure it's fresh, install to a new folder. Never overwrite an old install, if you use the same folder. Always delete it first. You do NOT have to delete plugins or quest behaviors. Also, make sure your SVN folder with my stuff is up to date, and all plugins and quest behaviors are where they need to be.

If your problem persists, even with a new folder, send me a log file.

Honorbuddy does not yet "natively fly"--that feature is in beta. So, profile writers are still stuck with the old "use the FlyTo behavior" for now. At the moment, You should be using profiles that do not natively fly.

I believe the HBdev team is still testing the feature, and only the HBdev team has access to the version of Honorbuddy that does fly natively. To me, it looks like Kick has reflowed a couple of his profiles to deal with the internal testing version. This gives them a solid profile with which they can test, and means the profile will be immediately available to the Community when the feature is released.

For now, you should be using [Fly] versions of the profile, not [Native Fly].

One would think VS2k12 would cover the requirements, but you never know.

To me, this looks like your missing one of those famous "Required DLLs":

Whether that's the problem or not, you certainly should not be getting that "Could not load reference assembly" error. You need to chase that one down, because that could easily cause the problem you're having.

Thx for help, but what about kill between hotspots in settings? Native flying in settings should be turned off right?

You're welcome to turn it on. It may fly for you, it may not. I'm not certain the current state, and the Continent has to be enabled for native flying also (this is done by the HBmesh server).

All I can say is try it and see, but its completely unsupported at the moment--either in the Support forum, or on Kick's profile thread.

Quest: Fortunate Misunderstandings

This Quest where the Toon has to follow one of these little CritterCriepers, forgot the name. While toons follows the NPC its possible that it get Aggro from some Snakes or other things. but the npc doesnt stop or wait. so on my site i got the problem that this quest wasnt finished because the npc was up and away and my toon was fighting with a snake.
so my toon goes back to the npc but cant accept the Quest because the Quest is already in the Questlog. If you dont cancel the Quest the NPC doesnt start to move.

Dont know, maybe something like "runlikehell" without fighting. or cancel the quest, but i dont know how you will know if its running or it failed.

 

Some issues coming up

Hello and thanks for making this.

I have created a new folder, made a fresh install, copied the quest behaviors and plugins over, thus I *believe* I did everything right. Nevertheless, I'm experiencing a problem at the Anglers, as can be seen in my attached log.

For starters, for whatever reason, it's making the bot try to call an NPC from Sholazar Basin, which of course fails miserably over and over again. Please see my log for complete info.

Also at The Anglers, it goes to Fo Fook, interacts and opens the quests window and just stays there. Doesn't accept them. Just stays there.

So I don't kow what's going wrong. I hope my log will help.

Additionally, earlier, with another toon, the bot flew to Jade Temple Grounds, completed the quest "The Darkness Around Us" but didn't turn it in when it turned in the other; Also, (I saw on first page) the bot was unable to complete "Arrows of Fortune" but as I said, I saw on your first page that this was not yet covered.

EDIT: P.S. I copied over the plugin "Pandaria Dailies" and enabled it in-game. I presume I was supposed to? I don't believe I saw mentioned on the first page what to do with it other than copy it over. Since that alone doesn't enable it, I trust enabling was the thing to do?

EDIT 2: On yet another toon, it just did the Sky Race and missed the 10th flag. I was watching it. It flew maybe a yard too LOW, a fullbody length below the flag. Can this be adjusted? Keep in mind, this was on a mount with 451% Speed; would that have changed the path just enough? Would a log help with this?

In short, I'm saving your log and bugs for tomorrow. I'm just off work and promised the wife I wouldn't code tonight. Rest assured, I'll look into these. The Sholazar call is intriguing. Maybe a transposed or missing number...thats wierd. The sky race I didn't know was working, but the issue with missing like that is the bot brings you close but doesn't always nail the XYZs exactly. I'll tighten up the Z though, but full testing I can't do til I get the quest myself.

The Jade Serpent turn ins I didn't fully do. I'm working on it also the plugin, yes, you do have to enable it.

Anglers ill check how it grabs from fook, could be that he has no speech, like one of the shadopan's. it would require a small adjustment.

I have a bot doing its very first Golden Lotus quests with your profile. She was running "Blocking the entry" (I think that's the name) but didnt follow Lao Softfoot so she got her ass served to her on a silver platter several times by the large groups of Tyrants while trying to place the exolosives at the cave entrance.

How are things going?

Been wondering, my buddy is not picking Cloud Serpents quests, it seems he just goes to the city to pick up the quest, then switching over to the next Reputation.

He is doing the right quests, and I'm always doing reinstalling my folder properly.
Dont know if a Log will help, just say so if you want one. Cant see anything special on it.
