I notice on front page it says "Do not bot on accounts you care about"

Question to that, say if we bot on an unimportant account but never our main account, never have them running side by side, would the main account not get banned anyway (if a ban does strike) due to being on the same IP?

Would other accounts running on different computers (different MAC addresses) but on the same IP get banned?

Does anyone have some anecdotal evidence to confirm/deny this?

 

Blizzard only Bann Accounts where your run / attached HB.
So when you never run HB on your Main Account it should be safe. And dont Trade between your Bot and Main Account.

 

Exactly. That's the mistake I made. I had 2 level 1 toons as guild masters on my main account for my other botters and used to draw gold on a regular basis to buy gear and wot not from people and AH.

 

I disagree ......i lost my ah account on ban day along with main account and hb never attached to that wow account ever......1 level 1 toon and tsm
....thats it........now i did log that account in while i was botting on my main account......so pretty sure thats why it got banned.

But i never botted on that account and got 6 month......reaffirmig what they said about malware stealth detection imo.

 

If people could keep us posted on everything with HB im curious to know if i should go back to botting or wait out to see if you all get the ban hammer.

 

Not so sure about that. I was under the impression they could ban you if say you used the same payment method or email etc. even though your main wasnt botted it could still get the hammer for those reasons.

Side note: I'm waiting this out. Not gonna bot for a long while.

First off try not to think to far into it. How many times have you read a post of HB's that ended up on blizzard's forums? I say plenty so ask yourself this. WHY WOULD hb PUT A POST OF HOW THEY FIXED THE BUGS OR WHAT THEY FOUND FROM THE BANN WAVE? ill answer your question its because if HB is posting what they did then blizzard can go back and redirect their efforts to hit us again. So please be thankful they have it up and running and enjoy your low cost botting.

 

I just wanted to state. The malware/idea I think is invalid. I have a bnet account with three "wow accounts" attached to it. I have quest/tyriel botted on all 3 wow accounts in WoD, number of times, to multiple 100's. All same IP's, and only one WoW Account got banned. It was the one I botted with after the most recent patch prior to ban wave. The other accounts, which were both botted on days before the most recent patch prior to ban wave, were not banned. idk if this is important, but it seems that way to me.

 

What i personally think is they scanned basically 1 week....the malware was live for 1 week......if you botted that week your account got flagged. Then on ban day they processed all flagged accounts.

Like i said my ah account got banned and never had a hb attached to that wow account.

Also i dont see blizzard doing another ban wave for prolly 6 month at least......my reasoning is $$$$$

 

Glad the bot is up again although I wonder if the blizzard malware is active again.
