How many ppl got banned for using kicks profiles

levelled 7 chars to 90. i am now levelling 4 more and never got banned (i do not use anything else than questing)

 

48 characters to 1-90 with kicks. Never had any problems. Run 4-5 hrs in morning and 5-6 hours at night. Supervised 60% of the time. Just watch for whispers/getting stuck/ganked.

You only usually get banned if you go afk, sometimes you'll find that even when the bot is doing the quest it's actually appearing like a bot around other people... this was the case for me on one of my own private questing profiles because I didn't have hotspots so the bot would run back and forth on just one small part, this lead to someone say "reporting you for botting" in which I responses (before he flew away) "GOOD LUCK SIR!". no ban.

I'll tell you several problems that'll get you banned.

1. Infinite stuck on FlightPath (shouldn't happen anymore)
2. Definite pickup or turn in
3. Standing near NPC for hours
4. Mesh issues
5. Fly spam back and forth outside caves
6. Small area, going back and forth when doing a quest
7. Getting stuck in a tree or in a mushroom (Zangermarsh)
8. Black Screen of Death
9. Getting stuck but IsStuck is not being called because you're still moving around
10. Incorrect questIds or general profile issues which leads to looping.
11. Not responding to whispers, say or even guild.

Most of these issues can be fixed with a plugin which is what I use, and a small amount can be fixed with resolving profiles issue... the other mesh issues needs to be fixed by the devs .

I'm also sure that Kicks has set the way for 1-90 pure afk questing by having so many people report the mesh issues which hamper the attempts to do so... I really think that the bot can afk up to level 80 at the moment (with plugin) but at that point it will have issues in some areas due to mesh issues or the fact it's not even meshed.

This is all done on same comp and never got banned, only once for exploiting and that was on my main account priest for selling Cata items on AH pre-cata (mind-control exploit anyone?) all botted chars have been using Kicks profiles and tbh 60% of them is maybe 10% supervised, its about how you combine stuff making you look like a bot or not, the kick profiles isnt like its injecting into wow so no way for Blizz to say "oh look at this fool, using kick profiles and shit, lets ban him" i bot daily, almost daily messing with kicks profiles, no bot-banhammer on me (thankfully)... just make sure you know how to notice a bot, and make sure you dont look that way

Used Kick's profiles to level 11 chars 1-85/90 without attracting attention. Both times I got suspended was due to GB.

Let's say I've a legit main account and I have 5 accounts on the same battle.net account (I've 5 accounts, for multiboxing) and I decide to ONLY quest on one account till 90. IF that account get banned, will ALL accounts that are associated with that battle.net get banned? Like account 1 (main) and account 2,3,4,5?

 

Was banned today, using the neutral Jade forest mining route!

 

The problem with theese threads is that "Do not bot" and Blizzard employees can vote that they have been banned.
So polls about bans are pretty useless.

You guys are just paranoid.......You got Banned because You Botted 24/7 most likely or Just talked on your botting account and someone tryed to talk to you and u never responded so they reported you. Many factors come in play. Using a questing profile will not get you banned. Its not Like gathering running the same route over and over.....Focus on what you are doing wrong rather than blame a profile.

 

I must have leveled around 50 toons via questbot, and not one got banned.

I even remember when I was just starting out, I had two accounts out farming with a public profile (I was so innocent), and a third one leveling in EPL with Kick's profile.
At one point, both farmers get axed, while the leveler lived to tell the story, and remains unbanned to this day.

That said, I do agree with Giwin. There's a lot of things that can get you banned, and specially with the current state of quest bot, it's very risky to let it afk for long, as even when no bugs appear, the bot often gets stuck for a bit with carts, mailboxes and other things in quest hubs (which raises the risk of someone spotting you).

 

I started 6 new bots with the 50% sale Blizzard recently had, i have quested them slowly for about 2-6hours a day and not yet to cop a ban *touch wood* (don't want to jinx it).

However i remember with my old main account, i created a new toon on a new realm and ran questing for the first 1-12 levels, it was banned within the hour.

 

Well, I'm questing with my main account (fuck me right) with a monk, and so far it's working really good! it had some bugs which I dont mind so much really, (I'm supervising 100% just to not get stuck and risk a unnecessary ban

Banned, suspended, whatever u want to call it, I'm a "legit botter" and I did get banned after not more then... 2 hours of botting sadly! Then I started running a bot on a second account, took 4 days until that was suspended, but it happens when u run 24/7 mining haha!

I tried using Kicks Profiles. While good, they got stuck alot. So much easier to level via WSG and BGBuddy...
