Early in the IB lifecycle, Raphus mentioned he had some ideas for a "raidbuddy" that would get info directly from deadlybossmods to tell the bot what to do, so maybe one day that will be in effect. I multibox 5 toons manually, in addition to my bots. It would be cool if I could run 5 toons manually and bot 5 more and get some raiding done
I would like this option as well, maybe even have the number of wipes be an additional variable, like if the bot dies X times in a row, it will leave, with a cooldown of 5-10 minutes to reset the timer. Even if the bot would follow the path the group originally took, or avoided mobs, it might be a good idea to ditch fail groups, cause in my experience, the bot does very well in a smooth run, and has more glitches in a run with noobs.
Thought I'd just ask, how do you think this would play out if say I joined the instance with a mage using this, and a Pally Healer I was actually controlling? I'm assuming Mage would just do the InstanceBuddy thing, and I'd heal like a pro (duh). Easier way to get ques ya know EDIT: Obviously they would be in a group, is this at all possible?
Yes, just group up with your mage, and if the mage is grp leader, it will auto que for you, or you can put the pally as grp leader and que when you are ready, and the bot will grind away while you do whatever.
This is awesome! I tried the other night for the first time and ended up with my DK in UK (or UP, I get mixed up!) and it did it flawlessly. Fired it up again today with the view of running it in a random Cata dung (BRC) whilst at work whilst I kept an eye on it. Someone came in at the same time it accepted the dungeon and I couldn't watch, get out or do anything except let it run. Anyway, it ran the whole instance great and I don't appear to have had any comments I'm going in for another run! Exciting times
Can this be used to solo farm lower level dungeons? I was trying to use this to get the Baron mount. I set it for Stratholme service entrance and only looting the last boss' ID. When I start the bot on EPL, it logs a message saying that the profile has no hotspots, then runs for the gate, enters the instance, and just stands there. Is it specifically looking for a tank to follow (I'm a DPS shaman), or is there a profile or script that I'm missing? It'd be nice to use this to farm the couple of dungeon mounts and rep that I haven't maxed out yet, and I'm not sure if my problem is that it's just not designed for this, or if it's a bug or configuration problem.
Help Please!!! Starting the bot! Chose Fpsware Druid(0.0.9) by Fpsware as your combat class! Creating 'Rest' behavior Creating 'Pull' behavior Creating 'Heal' behavior Creating 'Combat' behavior Pull Max Distance set to 40 Pull Min Distance set to 38 This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character!
How do I make the bot grind while its not in an instance? I have it set on grind mode w/ grind mode settings, it even ran and picked up new skills but now it's just standing around =/ any ideas?
is it possible to set a slider to where once it hits a certain percentage in mana it tell the group it is ready? For example it warns the group when it needs mana. it would be nice once after warning them and making them wait, once u hit a mana point, it tells them its ready again?
I want to say that this is just great for the future... how about a mixed mode IB+ Archeology seriously i?m getting >500k/xp with lvl 70
When drinking from low mana, the bot will get up if someone goes out of range and requires a spell. This kind of sucks because then you won't have mana for the next fight since the bot will run over and get "In Combat." Is there anyway we can force the bot to drink to full mana?
Have tried using IB 3x now and hasn't finished an instance yet. 1st attempt lvl 18 Dwarf Shaman, ShamWOW CC, 5 mins into RFC HB/IB Crashes and exits. 2nd attempt same toon, Deadmines, LOS tank HB/IB Crashes and exits. 3rd attempt same toon Deadmines, get 1/2 way thru instance and everything dies, WoW crashed, HB/IB crashed, right after group wiped and IB released corpse. Unable to attach my log file due to it being to big, won't let me upload anything larger than 1mb. Below is the log section right before the group wiped and everything died, hope it helps. Have yet to find any feature or function that is 100% afkable, which is the whole point of running a bot. I'm not trying to be rude, but I have tried many different profiles doing different things with different lvl toons, setting it, starting it, then walking away to do something else, to come back and find it's either stuck, logged out, disconnected, or crashed completely. Not very good selling points. I've read every post on every profile and plugin that I have been trying out, and from what I can tell most of the problems I've ran into, someone else has had the same problem and reported it already, so I didn't see any need in posting the same thing over and over. I'm not a programmer, so I can't fix any of the little issues I run into myself, all I can do is read and post if it has not already been mentioned. I figure pretty much all of you guys that do this stuff have been doing it for years so you know the in's and out's, but for someone like me who's just decided to try "botting" and has absolutely no clue what he's doing, it get's frustrating when ya follow the instructions and try several times to get it to work and it fails. If ya gotta sit over it and watch every little move it makes, ya might as well play. Anyway, hope all that jibberish I posted from the log helps to figure out what the problem is, would be happy to send ya the full complete log but like I said it's bigger than the 1mb limit. Sorry if I seem abit harsh, but I just want to do what all of y'all are doing, farm and level without having to sit and play 24/7. Thank you for your time.
tjwow2011, My apologies for any unexpected behavior you were encountering in using ShamWOW with InstanceBuddy. I recommend disabling all Plugins to reduce the number of diffferent components active at the time the problem occurs and then retrying. It isn't recommended to Loot inside instances, so you should disable that as well. Other than those general recoummendations, there isn't enough detail in the information provided for me to be able to assist you. You should compress your log file as a .ZIP and then upload, which will allow you to upload text files much larger than the 1mb limit you described. For information on the details needed when posting about an issue with ShamWOW as well as steps on attaching a log file, please see the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE]. Thanks for the post, Bobby53
If you are meaning random heroics in cata, I would so no way. There are just too many mechanics and things players need to do to survive a heroic, and the bot cant do most of that yet
