There are some features from Magitech I'd love to see added, but, for the most part I agree about it being better than most. (As for things I miss, OOC Windsong, Not spamming a DOT on a target that has too many debuffs, Auto songs based on healer MP)
Unfortunately I am a BRD, but, Windbite seems to not fall off as it has higher priority however Ven drops off.
Oh, I'm absolutely with you on these. I'd love to see some of the "Quality of Life" improvement additions to this routine. Along with potion support as well. Possibly add a HP limit for Flaming Arrow, similar to the other dots.
For anyone else that uses this profile for ninja, do you get times where it won't let you manually input commands such as limit break? I'm really hoping i'm not the only one lol
Bard suggestions: Flaming Arrow also follows the "Don't AOE Targets" list or get its own do not list. It's pointless to Flaming Arrow stuff that are known to move around. Don't use buffs (except for Quelling? but maybe that too...) when Army/Mage songs are up. Smarter Invigorate usage. Just take into account Goad/Army's Paeon/Battle Voice and casts at 540/520/510/490 depending what buffs are up. Can also probably remove the TP setting. Keen Flurry beats Featherfoot, so please add that in.
Yeah, I'll look into some of this stuff. I've been wanting to do something like that with flaming arrow but I keep forgetting. The DOT cap thing is kind of tricky because counting the number of dots doesn't actually work as they still might not apply even when there's less than 30. I have some ideas on how to fix it but I'll need to do some testing and I'd like to find a more elegant solution than what I have in mind so I don't end up with another gross pile of spaghetti like what I ended up doing with mudras. As for interrupting routine actions to do your own like what exacuss keeps mentioning, I may eventually add hotkey support so you can tell the routine if you really need to do something since there's no way as far as I know to tell if you're in animation lock which may or may not even matter. I don't think you can queue abilities when you're in animation lock but I haven't really checked. I guess as a solution for right now you could just use ex combat assist's hotkey to pause the routine so you can mash out a limit break or whatever if you really can't wait for the downtime.
Thanks for all your support on this, BRD is a side class for me, but, I always like to share input if I have it. Now just if there was a good SCH routine outside of the no longer active Magitech. EDIT: Do you plan on using a similar healing system like you had in Magitech down the road? It was the only routine that did it so well and I seriously miss it. (Well, I still use it, but, miss the active support and worry for future patches breaking it)
This routine though it does not say it also supports BLM if you look at the files. I believe he plans to pretty much make his own all-rounded bot from the ground up as he used to work on magitech and mentions this routine in that post.
Agreed that this is easily the best BRD routine for RB, I've been using it religiously ever since I switched to RebornBuddy over a month ago. I manual my buffs/flaming arrow/blunt arrow and just have the routine do its thing. The dot debuff HP threshold and dot clipping options are amazing. Suggestions: * AoE on/off hotkey toggle, with buff/range checks to determine whether the routine should utse Quick Nock (best BRD aoe if no range issues), Wide Volley (used if unable to get in range for Quick Nock), or Rain of Death (only used if Wide Volley procs) * (minor) Priority to manually inputted abilities. For example, if I press Flaming Arrow, that manual keypress overrides everything the routine is currently doing until the action finishes. I believe the RebornCo Coroutine has something like this in the form of a custom spell queue ("SpellQueue setting below 500 will give you that many ms (500-SpellQueue) to input your own spell. So 400 will give you a tenth of a second.")
Noob question inc! No matter what I change the DOT setting from 2000, to 1550, to 1. It will not cast mutilate. Lvl 44 Nin. Or do I need Shadow fang first??
Ive been having no issues with my ninja, it uses mutilate like it should, in dungeons, in fates, leves, or just grinding.
I cant even get this to show when loading the bot. Should it be in the basebot folder? SVN update works and says im revision 48.
