[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

I can add a facing check to Frostbolt. As for struggling to do manual casts -> Enable Manual Cast Detection on the hotkeys tab, it'll make it easier to cast abilities without fighting with the routine.

You can't disable the base DPS rotation, however I'm being asked for this more frequently recently, so it's probably something I'll look to do in an upcoming build.

I haven't added kiting to Portal, as it gets us killed more often than it helps. Singular has it, and more often than not it moves into patrol path's or into groups of other mobs and get's us killed.

 

Hey some what found a little set up for frost mages and the whole pve part, if its any use to people go ahead and use, i have changed a few bits about like disabling prismatic crystal so i can use it my self, mirror image is another that ive changed which is now on boss/player only, few little tweaks but not fully there yet, did molten core today, and end up coming 2nd overall for most dps done in the raid so it somewhat worked,

My talents are: Blazing Speed, Ice barrier, Ring of Frost, Cauterize, Ice Nova, Mirror image, Prismatic Crystal ( i switch between thermal void and prismatic for the sole purpose of aoe etc so just change it back and forth depending on your liking

Here is the settings i use load it up with the talents i have and see if it works for you!

If anybody else has settings they can upload with talents be sure too as im sure it will help out a few others.

Millz, when i change talent in game do i have to restart hb or no?

Talents and glyphs you dont have to reload.
Spec you do.....like frost to arcane.

 

Ok here is the log for the slow CD usage on Burst Enabled. I don't know how you are going to be able to find it in here. I can tell you it was during Imperator boss.

 

Here is another log where it just randomly happened. I pressed burst enabled - took about 8-10 seconds for mirror images to go. Wasted that much time on Icey Veins etc. ​

 

Disable the trinket 'Sandman's Pouch' - it's locking the routine up trying to use it - but it's a non usable trinket.

 

I have some dudes about arcane Millz :

1- Is possible priorize more RoP?? I lost too many dps because too many times i need to move ( In Mythic too much ) and no always cast first RoP, always prefer make some AB and after ROP

2- The rotation burst is not optimal, why use AP after i have 50% of mana? And i enable take potion of intelect in burst, but toon take when the rotation burst is over not at the start, and he cast AM during burst phase at this is not good, we need finish burst and after cast AM no?

3- What is the best configuration for supernova? I only mark use in boss and when i have 2 charges, but always use and start of pull and is not good for burst start.

If you like, i can give you my armory profile and Skype and we can try get better configurations ingame with trys in dummys

1) RoP is high priority. You sure you're moving out of RoP range? I'll need to test this one out myself.

2) Need a log file for this.

3) I use.. in conjunction with PC:
Target is Crystal
Boss and TTD < 10
Arcane Power
Units Near Target >= 3
2 Charges -> PC CD > 20s

If you don't use PC, then i'd use 2 charges always to ensure you aren't sitting on charges.

.. If it's using them at the wrong time, I need a log file for it.

 

1- Yes i am sure that lost the buff of RoP icon, so the toon must create first a new rune, but no.

2- Ok, in 1 hour i arrive home and go dummy to make some test

3- I no use PC, always prefer Overpowered, because the mayoriti of case give me more damage, put cristal and make damage in it, its to slow

I only use :

Boss and TTD < 10
Arcane Power

And always start boss with Supernova...

In your tests the rotation that video that i put and bot are the same? I see and test to many diferences

Major issue with arcane - it isn't stopping the evocation when mana is back up to 100 - it is wasting time doing full duration

Only test the rotation, we need add a check that finish evocation that 100 mana is up %.

 

Is anyone using this for pvp for frost and successful?

I will post a log later tonight, but it seems like i am doing nowhere near the burst dmg i should be doing...

the cc was using evocation after it put the Crystal near the Boss, cause it was ready.
seems like it missing something like -> evocation ready AND Crystal cd <= 20 seconds -> wait with mana burning. evo ready AND Crystal cd is ready -> place Crystal and burn.


and in a movement fight the mana burning seems like crap.
mana burn starts -> 70% mana -> it uses arcane Missiles -> mana at 80 % -> still burning to 60% -> i Need to move -> 70% mana -> Missiles proccs -> 80% mana and still burning....
i manually ignore the Missiles and spam arcane blast to 40% ( yes 40... tried 50, but it was using instantly the Missiles proccs -> mana > 50% and it was burning again )

And at the fight start with Crystal and all CDs its just using the normal Rotation. i think with spamming 150k+ crits on Crystal with arcane blast its a huge dps push, isnt it ? atleast for the start with all CDs .

 

So many times I enable burst and nothing happens == here is log. Just sitting waiting for PC to drop and Orb to go off -- disabled the trinket as suggested -- all other options disabled. Not lagging either.

 

In that case it will only use SN when Arcane Power is active or the boss is nearly dead. You should also enable 2 charges always, and units near target >= 2 or 3.

Yeah got this one fixed in my copy ready for next build.

Will add in a check for PC to hold the burn phase, and to force burn phase on crystal.

Not sure what you mean about when moving?

Looks like manual cast detection has triggered right after you've toggled burst (Alt+F), so it paused. Can you try disabling MCD or changing the modifier to Shift/Ctrl and see if that fixes it? Let me know how you get on.

FYI - Your install is throwing loads of errors. Suggest a fresh HB install and disabling PureRotation from the store. You've also got IV set to cast on CD. If you're using the burst toggle for PC then you should probably change IV to be used with burst too.

 

I get huge FPS drops using this routine. Havent changed any setting.
