Arcane is pretty good. Fire is alright, but definitely needs work. We're that close to patch 6.2 now though it's a bit wasted effort to start tuning it now. I'll be looking into all of the rotations again once 6.2 has landed
It has the code in to attempt to target the last target after crystal expires, but there's also some checks in there to ensure that unit is still valid. If for some reason that check fails, it'll find a new unit. Should still return to previous target most of the time.
Hey Millz, when you said Arcane is pretty good and Fire is alright, what do the numbers look like when comparing your performance to people with the same ilevel on warcraftlogs?
if you set up config right you can hit 99% easy mode as fire. Atleast I was last month. Ive been playing manually now on my mage so I have not tested it yet since I releveled a new account
The description says this is the most advanced mage CR for PvP and PvE. Does advanced mean the best, i.e. is this one better than KingWoW and other CRs? Haven't bought a mage CR yet but I'm planning on doing so in the upcoming days, my mage is so badly geared so I don't think any CRs will show nice DPS output so I wanna ask you guys. Cheers!
I don't know now, but when i used this CR (before getting my main acc banned), it was GODLY. My mage was top 1 on charts every single fight... that was like a month before the ban wave... I got a mage on 90 on a new acc, will buy WoD next week i guess.. when i do, i'll check it how is it at the moment, but i think it hasn't changed at all... Also, but key to good DPS on ANY routine, is to set it up fight. Disable everything that is not absolutely necessary (like spell steal, frost nova, etc), so the routine will focus on doing the rotation and managing the CDs for maximum DPS.
It got reset after the ban wave. Should be able to re-buy now. Failing that you can contact support@thebuddyforum.com to see if they can help. Cheers
Hey Millz, was checking Altered Time wesite and found this 6.2 guide for Frost Mages (as the spec is pretty good for PvE with this patch). Hope it can help to improve the routine, making it even better Melvyn's WoD Frost Mage Guide (updated for 6.2)
Yeah that's pretty much an overall guide rather than just focusing on what's changed. Easiest way to see what changed is patch notes: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/19806402/#mage Key things from a routine perspective are; - Amplify Magic has been removed. - Tier-17 2-piece set bonus for Fire Mages has been redesigned. It now reduces the cooldown of Inferno Blast by 2 seconds.
Hi Millz, is the arcane spec updated? Fire is ok It will only cast Rune of Power and Ice Barrier. Greetz
Make sure you reload HB after changing spec. It should all be working. Will be pushing a few fixes today hopefully.
Does anyone have a config for frost/arcane they can share? I recently purchased (or I will, after the 2day trial ends) Portal because I love your warlock routine, but I am way worse at mage than Lock so I'm having a hard time figuring out which settings are superior and how to set them up properly Best regards
If you're wanting min/max sort of detail, http://altered-time.com/forum/ is the best place for all things mage related. A good overview guide (for 6.1... but still mostly relevant) can be found here; www.methodwow.com/board/showthread.php?15484-WoD-Mage-Compendium
New build pushed, awaiting approval; [09/Jul/2015] - Amplify Magic has been removed. - [Fire] Removed T17 'ignite' trick. - Added Socrethar's immunity aura (Fel Barrier) to don't attack list. - Added Hellfire Citadel's boss IDs to improve boss detection.
Hi before buying this cr. whats the dps like for item level around 680 raiding in HFC? is the frost and arcane spec good ?
