[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Attached it as requested. As explained before the rotation doesn't do anything at all. I've tried casting on the dummy to see if that would start the rotation but it doesn't do anything. I do see the custom interface load up in the corner of my screen but i can only move it around the screen and can't click or interact with it by pressing any hotkeys.

Would like to get it up and running if possible within the next 2 days, or will have to ask for a refund =S

 

Anyone else want to try and help me get this rotation started? =D

 

I am sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere, (since I was checking it for the first time as fire mage) is there a way for the CR to cast Pyro at once when "it knows" it will have Pyrobalst! ? I see a small lag (comparing to human play) when it casts an Inferno Blast while on heating up till it casts the Pyroblast. Is it by design? Can it skip all other checks apart being the target alive for instance?

 

I'm not sure it realizes that Supernova has two charges? Also it's called "Arcane Orb" in the class config, took me awhile to figure out how to turn it on... Tbh it's the main reason I even paid the $21 usd for this was because singular wouldn't use a defining class skill thus making everything take longer than it should.

 

i've been having issues all night with the routine in pvp and pve. At first i was doing pvp, and sometimes it wouldnt attack or face the target, even though facing and targeting would be on. I decided to stop pvp and try pve, and i'm using a gatherbuddy 2 profile for mining and herbalism in Tanaan, and sometimes when it would get to a herb or mine it would aggro an npc. After my toon gets attacked it would just sit there and take damage till it died without attacking once. I dont know whats wrong, yesterday it was fine. Ive reloaded wow and honorbuddy, and deleted my settings files and set them up manually again, and still no fix. here is log of around the time i was having the issue, I have a few other logs if you need. right now, I had to switch to using singular, cause portal just wasn't working for me. Nope, its called Frost Nova [Replacement Ability]. Arcane Orb refers to Arcane Orb the t100 lvl talent.

 

Yeah I realized once I got my mage to 100 there was an actually skill called Arcane Orb, derp on my part. So I guess I need to look at the Frost Nova settings to get it to use both charges of supernova, if it even will.

 

anyone can post settings/talents for a 4p tier mage frost/arcane going mythic?

For some reason Millz is not active in this thread for a few days now. Cut him some slack, he's made a brilliant product!

I am currently using this routine as a frost mage, recently started raiding HFC HC and for some grinding/dailies here and there, I do not do pvp. I have 715 ilvl though just recently it was just over 700. But having 4 tier pieces from normal and a class trinket and only 700 (upgraded 710) ilvl weapon, I easily make 60k++ dps in static fights, with burst over 120k+ dps with hero/prepot/ring etc. very rarely dropping below 50k dps. The usual numbers for me would be 64-68k dps on Mannoroth HC, 58-62 on Archie HC, 78-83 on Tyrant HC. I usually outdps people that roam with 720+ ilvl weapon and are +10-20 ilvl compared to me.

Yes I did have a little trouble setting it up, did mess around some checkboxes here and there, but overall I like the result.

You are already cutting corners and botting - at least put some effort into setting it up, it is a quite rewarding thing. You have a great product at your disposal, learn it and don't expect EVERYTHING to be handed to you.

It looks like it can't detect spells being on cooldown properly. Try starting up your PC, then restarting it (start -> restart) rather than off and on. Tends to fix that issue.

I'm really not sure what's causing that. Is it still happening now?

Try disabling other products which are enabled on the store website so that only Portal is streamed, and see if that resolves things. May be another addon interfering.

Haven't seen this happen, have you got a log file? It *should* show why it's burning/conserving. Remember there's a hotkey that can turn it on and off now - haven't triggered that by accident ?

I figured this out partially. It's doing a full burn on low hp "bosses" such as the socrethar construct. You might want to correct that because that is obviously substandard play. I am going to run a full log next week during raid and get you some concrete answers.

My friend is looking at buying another CR but I told him this one is most likely the best. His numbers are really low he is 720 Ilvl..

 

Short answer: Your friend should buy another CR. Maybe there is one for those who do not know neither their class nor can tick a few checkboxes.

Long answer: There is no universal settings file that will save your friend. Settings depend on gear and talents and glyphs that aforementioned friend uses. The overall performance of the routine depends on what hardware he runs the bot on and which plugins/botbase he uses. The only way to get better at something is not by copying someone, but by learning yourself. This applies to WoW, HB and real life alike. Best of luck to your friend on the path of self-improvement!

 

So if you know have some good settings that is working for you. Why not contribute to the users of this CR and community by sharing these with us?
A lot of folks have done this for other CR:s and posting what fight they use different settings posted and what talents/glyphs that should be used. Some even posted what stats to go for and what breakpoints to aim at.

You seem to have all this info but not sharing it, rather then posting information that could be valuable to the users of this CR.

But it is already out there - if the person that is supposedly striving to get better doesn't bother reading a few pages of Icy Veins, it is not my duty to force information on this person. I am not on a quest to teach Internet, I am only here to tell you that you can succeed at learning in internet by yourself. The only thing that is required from you - the decisive desire for self-improvement.

In my opinion, the abundance of guides made the general public dumber and not willing to analyze the information they already posses. Why bother if there is another guide?

 

Then why bother the long "educational" answer?
If you are only here "to tell you that you can succeed at learning in internet by yourself" then you are adding precisely zero to this thread...
