No idea what spell would even cause that 'already more powerful spell' message ? Targeting a friendly player is your own fault God bless. No changes to any of my routines required. So good. What do you need help with ? Installing the routine? Getting it to run?
I haven't a clue as to why that warning/error showed up. It's been a long time since I last seen it. At first I thought maybe it was not reading the LB that was already applied and was trying to cast it again, but I know it would have just overwritten the DoT had it cast it again. Either way, I don't see it as an issue as it rarely happens. And yes, targeting a friendly player is my own fault Being spammed with that message is your fault as the routine didn't realize that it was a friendly target and tryed to cast on it
Thats right Millz, that's your fault! What are people using while they wait for HB to get fixed btw? Im using PE meanwhile.
Ok so, it's not so rare ... The spell it is trying to cast is Deep Freeze. Log attached. Just kept getting more powerful spell active warning/error
If targeting is disabled then it just always accepts the current target. Less checks = faster rotation. It would stop casting or switch target if targeting was enabled. HB is back up
Sorry another question - does this snapshot the dots? IE: If I proc the Garosh trinket, will it hit Living Bomb at 10 stack?
Yes it does support snapshotting, there are two settings for your bomb of choice, one is Min health to dot at and what % of "additional Power" to reapply at, very similar to Aff Dots. Nothing build in specific for # of stacks or BBOY trinket. As for proper setting for heroic fights, it does change a bit here and there but I cant really tell ya, just getting comfy enough to use it on some heroic farm stuff to see how it works and such, but in no way so far using it on harder bosses like H Paragons or H Garrosh yet, but if you find a problem or have a suggesting let him know, updates seem frequent and always seems willing to chat about it.
No was just saying that I havn't as of yet, only been using it for less than 2 weeks and working my way into it, and on some of the heroic fights I am slowly figuring out all the logic of how and what it does before I unleash it on the encounter and have something go wrong and my guild think i've gone all retard or something. eg: On H Paragons does the routines take into account being transformed and using the action bar, or what if I pickup the "corpse buff" and have the extra action button for it, will it automatically use it etc...
There's no guide for setting it up, but the GUI is fairly intuitive. A couple of LFR runs and you'll understand what you need to configure and what sort of control you have from the hotkey system. 90% of the settings, you'll set them and not touch again. It doesn't handle the additional action buttons - that needs to be done manually.
It does great on heroic Garosh as long as you got your aoe hot keyed and interrupt set to manual. As for routine spec I use fire even though this routine isnt great at fire it's still the best option I think for this fight I did try a heavy mastery build for frost something like 50% haste for gcd and 80%+ mastery but fire still pulled ahead due to all the extra movement. GL on getting him down.
Making a change today to get Counterspell to work when units are casting Touch of Y'shaarj. Doesn't work at the moment.
Sorry - what do you mean this routine inst great at fire? Would I need to go frost to get the max benefit of Portal?
Anyone have experience with this routine and Heroic Thok? We have our screeches go up to 28 on heroic Thok and it's just not possible to hardcast frostbolts or arcane blasts past acceleration #15 (sitting at 50% spell haste raid buffed). Do you guys just manual cast arcane explosion / glyphed CoC?
No routine will play fire to 100% because of the on the fly requirements but it does very well for a routine. Frost is simple to play and for the routine to run so it's a good choice in case you ever need to take manual control. The trade off is frost suffers a bit in heroic mode's and fire starts to really take off as you get lots of heroic gear. In a heavy movement fight for fire if you handle the opening burst yourself the bot will more than handle the rest of the fight.
Forget arcane for that fight. For frost spec in 50% haste you should be in a good spot never have casting issues also use bboy if you can. we go to 32 stacks or there about and it gets a bit tight but the routine handles it ok and will time the casts most of the time. It will bug on me the odd time and forget to time the casts but thats few and far between. But if the casts get to tight I suggest ice lance to prevent getting stunned. I dont glyph CoC I like extra blink instead
Any chance for a Arcane Explosion/CoC click on off add count thingy for the rutine? Few fights i use it by hand atm even in fire spec.
New patch just landed so haven't had a chance to test this. Nothing major so shouldn't be any issues. [20/Feb/2014] - Will no longer cast Evocation (when Invocation talented) on Thok, when he has more than 8 stacks of Acceleration. - [Frost] Pet Freeze will now allow the cast when our target is boss, if there are more than 1 unit in range. - [Fire] Will no longer fresh DoTs during the Alter Time combo (as it lowers Ignites power). - Spell logging will now print out the units entry ID for easier debugging. - Changes to allow counterspelling the Touch of Y'Saarj spells on Garrosh. - Added units Spark of Life and Stone Statue (Spoils of Pandaria) to the 'ignore targeting us' multi-DoT list.
