wow whats the drop ratio on that shit? ive been there for like 200 hours and havent got a single one, ive made like 50k gold but still no battered
do you know if i have to complete the quest from pit of saron or clear full the intance at least one time in order to get it?, or am i just a bad luck guy?
You don't need any quest to get the Hilt. It drops from ANY mob in any of the 3 ICC dungeons; this one is just the easiest to trash farm.
Damn... Tried with my mage ilvl 388 and phailed, starts spaming flamestrike when many mobs are pulled and just gets owned. Also, when he dies and tries to run back gets stuck forever.
I've been running this profile for 15 hours now. And nothing So i was going to go to dalaran for repair and empty my bags when i realised the instance portal didnt had that heroic face in it..... That was about 12 hours in to the grinding. So if your using this profile, remeber to put the instance on heroic!! Edit: Battered Hilt after 8 hours in Heroic
Running as a tank with ~180k health while in Pit of Saron. First few days I ran this profile, I never died. Now, it happens almost every time I start a fresh dungeon. Ghost pathing is terrible, so it never makes it back to the dungeon. Did Blizzard hotfix this in due to people possible using this profile far too much and they took notice? As a level 85 tank with triple that of a WotLK raiding-geared tank, why am I taking 30k Shadow Bolts? >_> Log attached.
My main is also a tank with about that hitpoint total and around 390ish item level, and I never die (using Singular CC). Some of those necro mobs cast a beam on you that increases shadow damage taken, so that may be why those bolts hit for so much. Which class and CC are you using? edit: Nevermind! Both answers to my questions are in your log, and you're using the same class/CC as me. What kind of gear are you using? Is anybody else suddenly dying a lot? I would be *honored* if Blizzard patched something just because of one of my profiles LOL! But I kind of doubt that's the case.
~ilvl 380. All gemmed, enchanted and reforged for tanking. Tank full DS LFR just fine, so an 80 heroic dungeon mob should be no problem. :/ By the way, is there any solution to the inability of a ghost flightpath back to the instance? HB issue?
It's an issue with HB's meshes not giving a good path to get back to the corpse (which is inside the instance). Unfortunately the code governing what to do when dead is solely inside the core HB application, so this dungeon is really only feasible if you don't die at all.

Just a head' up my bot atm is currently going batshit crazy (reached instance limit) there seems to be no wait conditional so it's just spent 5mins running to the instance etc. and dc'd( prolly not due to the bot just doe to fast turning which is the new dcer). there is a few addons that track instances is it or could it be possible to track timers so the bot doesn't run in and out tons to find a new instance? err as in it changes direction a lot really fast. (i'm quite high geared pve wise so it rapes the mobs inside and clears the instance in under 10mins (the area it pats) as prot it doesnt but using singular the prot bot will bug and not attack mobs after a pack that isn't in charge range. not in charge range as in too close to charge too far to leap. then it stands thre and gets raped. it will not manual walk. if needed i can clear my log and run it as prot and watch it till it does the bug then post. or u can scout the 2 guys prio that have the issue (code write included) and sort singular out
hope that helps i'm clearning logs now to re-post time when (assuming i'm awake) it happens again (it doesnt do it using arms!) but i'm saving log for when it does the instance lock issue
Still dying to Necrolytes. It appears the main trigger for this problem is when, 1) Necrolytes are not focused and killed first, allowing the stacks to build and casts hit the character, or 2) an extra Necrolyte is somehow pulled and is far away from the character free-casting, again, allowing the stacks to build and casts to hit the character. Thoughts on a work-around?
