I just got back into town, is there any way i can try the trial again because i was having an issue? I really want to see it actually working.. not when it was very broken for me.
What the reason to spend unholy runes to DnD in at least unholy spec when defile not selected as a talent? Thats a some dps lose(and a bit weird looking for raidmates ) and I can't find where to turn it off.
Time is changing now. Blood boil is now the poor choise for cleving 2 or 3 targets and Necrotic Plague curently top chooise for Karghat M (if not going on stands, to cleave cat), Brackenspore, Tectus, Ogrones, Koragh. The key is to manage 15 stacks on main target and bring it to add. Just look at WoL or WL top lists by dates after hotfixes. The bad thing is CR still use DnD when NP selected that is dps lose and should be completely abandoned.
Hey Storm/Weis, just got into Onyxia's Lair and noticed my toon pop Gargoyle on trash when I have it to only pop on bosses. Log: View attachment 163968
You shouldn't be cleaving in the stands on Kargath. You're not there to kill ALL the mobs...just specific ones (Bioslingers and Bombers). Other than that the fights is single target where Defile is WAY stronger than NP. And I'm not sure where you got your information from, but I did check WoL and all the top Unholy DKs are, in fact, using Defile for ALL fights in Highmaul. Check again and look at their damage by spell and you will nothing but Defile.
Latest simming says that's now wrong. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bmw_9ZvCBNcD79APeHiZ3Nj-M1z1N2v28fqRlKmigO8/edit
This is from the document you linked: So, sure, you could use NP for trash, but for boss fights, Single Target is more important than AoE...unless, of course, the boss fight consists of multiple primary targets...not where you'll be attacking single target and every now and then there will be cleave for adds, no.
Will Look into the whole dnd/defile/np .... But currently we Are working on the Porting to New Core.... Will Look at the Gargoyle. But i'm sure I haven't changed the conditions, only the priority
This seem to trigger on HM Mar'gok and it won't change back to normal even if you target mages or any adds. Is there anyway get previous versions from buddystore because previous one was working better for me?
cast on ground (on your location) triggers when target is flying so ... ... will look at it, haven't done that fight ... can u explain me what's going wrong? don't they are in your range? (if not, why targeting them then?) well i think easiest solution will be to skip OnGround spells completely when target is flying? i'm sure i added a condition to only cast these spells when you are in melee range, so it shouldnt be an issue, but ... will look at it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q8Vsjcb_Ko video doesnt show it but it start by Mar'Gok teleport from hes throne to combat, but even when he was on ground it was still casting defile on me which didn't matter as it was still in range. How/when does it reset that flying target mode to normal? Do you need to be out of combat that it reset it to normal mode? I was thinking it could be that it cause to set that mode on when mar'gok teleport from throne/goes up in air during transition phase, but never reset it to normal because you are in combat whole time.
I did some sims on my 667 (2hF/Unholy) 668 (DWF) for Single Target (ST) and Multi Target (MT) with both Defile and Necrotic Plague (NP) and these are my results for anyone interested: Single Target with Defile: 2H Frost - 30,008 DPS DW Frost - 29,906 DPS Unholy - 30,342 DPS 3 Targets with Defile 2H Frost - 38,161 DPS DW Frost - 40,774 DPS Unholy - 33,230 DPS Single Target with Necrotic Plague 2H Frost - 28,874 DPS DW Frost - 28,700 DPS Unholy - 28,044 DPS 3 Targets with Necrotic Plague 2H Frost - 34,551 DPS DW Frost - 37,771 DPS Unholy - 36,767 DPS Obviously, these numbers are specific to me ONLY as most everyone else's gear/stats will be different. And for me, for almost every situation and spec, Defile rules over Necrotic Plague. The only increase in dps while using NP was in Unholy multi target. Moral of the story? Do your own sims and see which spec fits YOUR gear. Because stats aren't random on raid gear, you can't choose your stats, so everyone will end up with gear that may or may not favor a particular spec.
That's story not about sim but about current content and so on. Beening 5/7 M raider i'll say you that defile is only Butcher and Imperator ability now. I can say that also Kargath but i'm lost my place on stands on Kargath due to33% BB nerf. Also, on Mythic Tectus defile will show a better results but only if you don't plan to move on 0+8 phase at all thats impossible. Look. 1/7 Keeping NP on Kargath automagically cleave crazy cat running around; if it outside 8yards NP range 1 BB makes him suffer. Defile is useless for both targets in one time. 2/7 Defile 3/7 AoE rotation is useless for 2 targets, so the best result is to switch to add tonneling him while giving FS to Boss to keep 15 stacks. Little mushroom behind also like a cat on the Karghat. Anyway saw both setups in WL after 13.01 hotfixes but my skill is NP here. 4/7 While raid is mooving heavily Defile is useless. So NP is the only choise here. 5/7 Single target rotation all fight on Paul with NP is the clear choise when BB became nerfed. Just trust me here. 26k becomes 31k in 675 gear with not ideal rotation. 6/7 NP used to be main choise for Korragh even before hotfixes and nothing changed. 7/7 Didn't tried mythic yet while beeing a bit overgeared for Heroic. Don't know, but go with Defile like in good old times. P.S. It's all about unholy. Have nothing to say about frost. P.S.S. Also 1,3,5,6 is Plaguebearer fights while only Tectus is Plague Leech with NP.
fixed a bug with detecting flying units for whatever reasons the height detection always returns a height difference, changed from heighdifference between target and ground to target and toon. if height difference between toon and target is 0 we cast normal on ground, if between 5 and 10 we cast on us, if >10 we will skip the cast and move on to the next
I appreciate this insight; hopefully the simming and theorycrafting will settle down a little this week once the top raiders get their weekly clears in.
