New Warrior CC - taking expressions of interest

primarily rage management, it always seems to end a fight with nearly full rage. A simple check list with all the abilities and a way to change thier order is what I'd want with any cc, but that's just the way I am. Not a lot of add management skills for a leveling warrior, so a way to use intimidating shout at X number of adds. Perhaps a way to change sequence if engaged in PVP would be nice. Victory rush would be nice when leveling. Pull with taunt. Retaliation. Meh I'm too out of it to think right now, I'll load up my warrior and post more specific data later.

 

Anyone interested in beta testing a new Warrior CC please let me know what level and spec you are.

 

Count me in. Level 13 Fury spec right now, should be 20+ by tomorrow. Gonna stay with Fury I think, maybe some Arms.

 

I'm in fps! Currently level 24 arms spec.

 

Proof of concept build is released. Have a play with it and let me know what you think so far. Its only had 3 hours of development and is only using an extremely limited number of spells.

If you've wanted to level a warrior this will get you to 20 without any problems.

 

I'm not sure if I want it to "Stance Dance" or just stay in a single stance, I need some feedback on this.

It will (eventually) recognise you are in a party and assume the roll of tank. Thereby picking up aggro on party members and using appropriate abilities; Sunder Armor, Taunt etc.

Once learnt, preference will probably be given to Berserker Stance. But I've not decided yet.

i wont have access to HB for another week or so but when i do i would be happy to help you test this. i have a level 80 warrior with gear for all three specs, currently Arms and Prot dual specced but i have no problem going fury to help this out.

what i would like to see from a new warrior CC is more intelligent use of rage (the current one spams heroic strike, major mistake for a fight opener), and i would absolutely LOVE some more efficient grinding, there is no better way to level a warrior through grinding than taking 3-5 mobs at a time as a tank. i have a level 5 warrior as well that is currently waiting for something like this to happen, so when i get back up i can test on her as well.

 

I'm looking for the option "Yes - We need a new Warrior CC and chocolate cake".

Just uploaded another build before I'm off to bed. Its been running flawlessly for the last few hours on level 25 - 30 warrior(s). There is no reason why it wouldn't work on higher level characters, but spell use will be limited.

 

ill test id go from a level 1 warrior to 60 if you like...

 

A bit of constructive help or critisim.
I have been running Lik Warrior until now. Im lvl75 and currently grinding SLOWLY at +-60K/h
So I was really happy you were making a CC and just been using it for the last hour, same place, same char, and my XP dropped to 47K/h

I know yours is still being worked on, and not tested on a high lvl char, but thought I would point it out.

 

I've an 80 prot warr with fury off.
Could test out your aoe mob thing fairly easy, hes reasonably geared.
(42k ub hp as prot)

But, Lifebloom support, instant execute, and cleave usage. Currently I almost never see it use execute, its simply too slow.

 

Stance dance could be good. in Combat stance we dont have silence, but we have pummel in zerker stance which is quite good. My warrior is currently 77 and is lacking the ability to bandage itself, so it have huge repair bills because it dies. (Thats what you get when you pull 3 mobs at a time, duh) lol

Anyways im still using likwarri, but ill change as fast as you've added bandages

I choosed fury specc because it outputs more damage and i can wear two handers in both hands! woohoo!

Btw Mess, I have a brand new CC made from scratch that I'll want you to test later on. Should support all 3 trees (haven't tested destro yet, waiting for servers to come back up).

 

Its listed here because this is not a release quality build and it is still being discussed.

What do you mean "cleave usage"?

Lifebloom and Bandages will be added shortly.

 

Cleave on more than 1 mob i assume.

 

I guess he has not used it fully, as Cleave has been implemeted since the first build was released. Evecute is a user defined option - turn it on/off.
