[OFFICIAL][Patch 5.0.4] Honorbuddy will be offline for a week (or more)

I used to suck playing WoW by hand, then I found HB, and now I really suck playing by hand. I wish PQR would update their things, but it's also a bot, so even though they're updated for MoP, the community still has to build the profiles for the rotation. God, and WTF is up with the talent trees? My SV hunter went from doing over 30k dps to being subpar to beast mastery in raids? BM got a dps boost, and now does more DPS than SV, but only by a small margin. MM is in last place, and paraphrasing, "All marks hunters should just reroll and learn another spec" according to a few posts I've read. My arms warrior was gimped as well. Pulling 50k pre-patch, now only getting about 10k. I hope the updated bot and CCs make this low DPS problem go away so that I can enjoy the patch. I've beenplaying for about 8 hours and I've got the biggest headache and rage fest going with what I consider to be one of the worst, yet best patches that's happened to WoW so far. I miss my HB. It makes me a sad panda.

Really, I do appreciate your work devs, but BGBuddy has been the worst of your ideas.

 

haha Jim is right I havent seen any botter in BGS yet and I + you on BGBuddy for the worst out of all there bots

 

haha yea, Everytime I bot I am always at my pc watching a movie or studying but I still get distracted watching them. First thing I said to my wife today was " IM BORED" she replys with " Clean up" Im like HELL NO!

 

I'd disagree with you as BGBuddy has helped me get many toons into full ruthless gear and has usually only got me praise for good healing/damage.

 

Not trying to be rude, but there is a difference between doing lots of damage and healing and playing well.

 

Have you watch your BG Buddy in BG's its really bad when you see about 5-15 other players doing the same thing as you, Im hoping they change it so we can customize the BG Bot alot more

 

See, I'm not saying it doesn't do the work it was developed for. I'm talking about user experience of all around you. A bot can harmless level your toon, can, more or less, harmless roam around for gathering materials or hunt for rares.. When 10/15 characters of your bg party are bot, you really wish Blizzard never introduced the Deserter debuff.

 

To be honest ...you are so wrong in here! This forum is supposed to be totally pro-bots whatsoever - it doesnt matter what he does or for how long and so on...
How dare you come in here and say it was a bad idea to invent a BG-Bot but using it for every other stuff you desire? Oo ...un-fucking-believable.

If anything, demand more customization for the BG part...but other than that, be quiet please or leave in peace!

 

Not trying to disagree, but playing well means strong teamwork, and you will never get that in a Random BG with 24 other strangers. Even in the days of the very first BG system, all those Grand Marshals and High Warlords explained that actually getting the title is not so much about teamwork, as it is about playing AGAINST your team, because your teammates were actually your competitors for all the Honor, not the opposing team, so what they did was stay alive for as long as possible by avoiding combat and planting themselves near strategic locations with lots of killing going on so they can get the most Honor. Practically, they were, by their own admissions, piggybacking their own teams to farm honor. Even now the only difference is that you simply don't get a title for that, just enough currency to get your entry level PVP gear and move on to Arena or Rated BG's.

Moral of the story - Even before Honorbuddy, there was no real teamwork in Battlegrounds, and this behavior was even more rewarding.

Only in modern Rated BG's you can experience true teamwork and players at their best. Buddy or no buddy, the Random BG system is simply not designed to reward teamplay.

 

thats all BG Bot needs is more customization, I can customize other profiles / CC / plugins ect why leave BG Bot in the dust with very little custom material. I say the most used bot in WoW is the BG Bot, Im not getting my stats from the forum but from inside wow itself, blizzard merged the BG groups in 1

Now and you see alot more people using BG Bot, I dont see how blizzard are not watching it since it looks so robotic its not funny along with 10 other people doing the same thing. If we had the option to customize our own profiles for BG Bot it would not look the same.

Last week I was HAND playing BGs and I seen like 6 in AB botting said to another guy, " that guy is a bot " first thing he says is, " Yea I know half of BG players are bots" and this guy just came back to WoW and knows who's botting and not.

Unlike Dungeon Buddy they have no clue im a bot

I'm fairly new to botting but I monitor in the early AM's. I think the priceless part of HB is, when it went down, that I now know who all the botter "buddies" in my guild are! Lol!

Completely agree with you, i hope this guys don't use BGBuddy again. Yes, it needs more customization but i just bought HB because i enjoy pvp a lot but my work don't let me play that much to gear all my pvp chars, thanks to HB i can enjoy pvp at nights without having to farm myself gear for hours.

Maybe it looks bottish to you, but think about it the other way around.

How do your typical BG morons play ?

-They all stack together because they are afraid of being killed, because they know they lack the skill to win 1v1.
-They inevitably end up doing the same thing, due to this herd mentality.
-They fail even worse than the bot when engaged in 1v1 combat because they are weak alone, hence the need to move as a single big group.
-They are afraid of the other team, so they instinctively attack players first and don't care much about objectives.
-They can't hold anything for long enough, because they either fail to split into smaller groups, fail to coordinate, or simply fail to survive in smaller numbers due to lack of PVP skill.
-They will seldom go for flag, because everyone waits on the next guy to do it.
-They will seldom heal because everyone counts on the next guy to act as heals, hence why you get groups full of DPS players and the occasional tank specced player who is even more afraid of death.
-They will seldom support their teammates who carry flags because they are afraid they may end up alone with the FC and get killed due to lack of consensus on who should be doing what.
-They will prefer to stay on the defensive, typically close to a graveyard, because it's against their sheepish instincts to attack.
-They will fight in the middle because there they can be close to each other and have much better visibility of what's going on around them, compensating for the lack of communication, which is impossible without VoIP anyway.
-They will seldom tank the bosses in IoC or AV because of fear of getting no support and messing things up, because they don't know if they have a healer supporting them or not.
-They will fail when attacked during a boss fight, because nobody knows their place and role in such an event, so chaos quickly overcomes the group.

Basically, with the Ultimate PVP Suite, this bot will

-Target the most injured or undergeared players
-Target healers, deciding on their spec, gear and other things
-Target EFC
-Target vehicles
-Carry flags
-Cap objectives
-Support its team's FC

Theoretically, if we assume this plugin functions as intended, a botter will be a thousand times better player than your average human player who is actually there just to farm Honor and cares even less than the bot about winning.

What this bot truly needs is three things

-Improved PVP Suit
-Improved PVP CC's
-Some way for the bots to coordinate with each other, responding dynamically to the situation and the needs of the group. Small groups of 5 or 6 well coordinated bots can turn every battle around and win any BG for their team.

 

i tryed to play without bot in raid it isnt even funny man with lazyraider+ honorbuddy makes you such a better player then doing it manual. i hope it comes back quick

 

Yeah, Lazy Raider really results in overall skill degradation when you have to get back to manual play.

 

Well if you are going to do in stages, maybe release a version that supports LazyRaider so CC writers can get a jump start on testing (and a lot of people here use LR).

 

To Kronz its more to the point of where they walk and path through out the BGS give me custom pathing I will make it look so real that not even a gladiator can spot me im botting
