With the upcoming nerf to disc I was wondering if holy has been seriously looked at. I quote bennyheals "holy is the redheaded stepchild" lol. I have been holy in some lfrs today just to see how it is doing. The healing was good but its hard to tell since I so out geared the content and no mana issues. Holy is one of the strongest specs in wod so I know many will be playing it, myself included. Cheers! Loving Oracle 2 it is a lot of fun to tinker with and try to figure out.
It's touted as having advanced Proving Grounds logic... it has a mode to enable PG logic for christ's sake. I've asked and they won't give a clear answer on what that even means, so it's hard to know what you need to look for or what to handle manually. I'm using this in raids because I already bought it, but the reason I bought it was because it has a "Proving Grounds Mode". I almost got to wave 10 on Endless as disc priest last night, but still can't even beat gold as a holy paladin.
Seriously, Can someone please help me? or at least enlighten me alittle? My questions on the previous page were left unanswered..and now I'm really at my wits end trying to find out how Oracle sorts out its healing compared to the other routines like Richie's/KingWOW... All I want to know is... 1: I have screwed up my settings? Does anyone or is there anyway I can retrieve DEFAULT settings back? 2: What exactly are Dynamic Spells? Oracle seems to be casting Serenity on 100% tanks...and I can't figure out where to change the value of that!?!? Please..For the love of another priest/WOW player/Buddy... Help me..
Delete honorbuddy\Settings\OracleII to return to default settings. Dynamic spells are spells that Oracle calculates on the fly. Spellpower, haste, Procs, etc are all calculated to pick the best spell based on HPM or HPS and the current health deficit of the healtarget. Oracle will cast binding heal to gain serenity stacks for GH and PoH. You can adjust this under the serenity settings. It's difficult to have a healing CR that does everything out of the box. Oracl has hundreds of settings to tweak for each different context. LFR, Normal, Heroic, 10 man 25 man, proving grounds, battlegrounds, arena all require completely different settings. I have asked for testers, I have asked for the community to share their Oracle settings, I have offered to work one non one with people to help improve settings, And fix bugs/issues. Oracle has a lot of users as well ;-) Patch 6.02 is about to hit so expect some downtime while I work through any issues that arise. Please be patient during this process. I assure you I will be working as hard as I can to get you raiding again (I will even be taking a few days of from my RL job to accomplish this.) The last few weeks I have been working on changing Oracle to Coroutines which is 98% complete. Frame rates have improved and I've added more settings and fixes along the way to get all classes healing even better than before. Stay tuned. Wulf.
Sorry, everyone for being out of pocket the last few days, Had an allergic reaction and a little doctor visit that has left me out of action since for a couple days. I will be getting on top of answering questions right after this post. All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
Yes it has PG logic, as in if the settings are set it can interrupt, stun, emergency heal and heal the NPCs when needed. It does not handle any movement and it is not coded "just for PG" as another routine or two are. As 6.0 is dropping tomorrow we are not really implementing new features because we need to get the routine more WoD ready once all the bugs are fixed from that we can come back to PG and challenge modes as needed. Going to go ahead and get this statement in. We are working on getting Oracle 2 updated for the patch and ready for WoD. It will take us some time and please bear with us. Do not forget to check how to submit true bugs and issues on here with logs included and descriptions of what and what not the routine is doing. As of this moment there is not a current working build for the patch. The routine may function but no where near to what it should be. Everyone needs to read up on the changes to their healing class before assuming that something is broke with the routine. Thank you all for your patience Wulf, myself and our testers appreciate everything you guys help us with and hope you continue to enjoy the routine. All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
We have an internal build that we are checking all the functions of Oracle to make sure we are up to date. We are having to update all the spell calcs, spell lists and all the old MoP tweaks that are irrelevant now. Hopefully, we will have something update later this week as Oracle is not a small project and cannot be updated as fast as other routines. Once again sorry for the inconvenience and bear with us through this changeover. All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
14/14mythic, im topping meters with the following on disc: 1. penance AND holy fire on cooldown. NO smite. 2. archangle on cd. 3. Spam/filler PW:Shield on anyone and everything. 4. Halo on big damage. im topping meters in my raid.
It really is broken right now novi, PWshield the tanks, other than that you can nova spam and keep everyone pretty much topped.
holy nova is really sick right now <3 i just got my legendary on my second character (skipped most of panda land due to real life aggro) and its a PRIEST! loved healing it. Anyways, i did the crane challenge for the celestial challenge, spammed holy nova and tossed penance at wrathion when he needed it and won without any additional spells used at all. granted, my priest was 554, but still. the damage buff was used upon casting holy nova next to deathwing BTW! LOVE the routine!!! I still cant figure out how to pause it using tyreal base, which usually wipes me when garrosh ports us to the terrace of endless spring. But I kick the crap out of my other healer, paladin. Keep up the good work!!! also, There are other boots out there that have been updated, but don't have HB's functionality. I downloaded one and it doesnt let me move, doesnt dispel, and basically sits there and spams smite and bubbles people. pretty crappy!!! SO glad i have HB
Ok guys, we know there is a live version out and we(Wulf and myself, mostly wulf) are diligently working on getting an up to date oracle. As you can see from the posts already a lot of the healing is not how it will be come WoD. We are going to try to get all the core functioning correctly with the new system and stat squish and then try to get all the "correct" healing and spell calcs in. I know there are completely broken ways to heal for most of the healing classes that will get us by for now but we do not want to add that into oracle and then just have to remove it once WoD hits. Once again please be patient with us and we will get you an exceptionally performing product as soon as we can. Thanks again All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
was planning to buy this today but its "not on sale" so i'm guessing that will change once a stable release is out?
Yes I've frozen sales until i have finished fixing the 6.02 issues. Things are looking good I've repaired most of the dynamic spell casting and predicted damage and the core looks solid. I've updated disc priests spells in line with the blizzard squish (which was a major issue as there are no theory crafting sites reporting back on the new formulas - I had to use wowhead and my knowledge.) Disc priest is currently up for beta testing. I've fixed a lot of core issues along the way to get disc functional, which should transfer onto the other classes. Disc includes all the tricks to utilise the current craziness of holy nova spamming. Complete with a bunch of settings should they hot fix it. If anyone knows their class and wants to beta test, shoot benny or myself a PM. I am moving onto holy tomorrow which shouldn't take long and then paladin. I will upload a release shortly to oracles existing customers, but be aware that it's in beta and is bound to have some issues with the classes I have not touched, Wulf.
Disc is so broken right now.. no one has any mana issues anymore so its just spam your biggest fastests heals, holy nova, and pws. I wouldnt even worry about addusting spell calcs for 90 stuff. The nice thing about oracle is we can just tell it to only use the spells that are the most op atm. Cant wait to see this in action in WoD raids!
