keeps telling me to edit a file that doesn't exist in the folder. My log is too large to attach. The error is not in the log file. it will not let me edit the settings for squire
The path said is incorrect. The correct path is \HonorBuddy\Settings\Squire_CharName.xml And if some wonders (like I did) what the possible methods are its: Health Density Focus Code: <Method>Health</Method> <Method>Density</Method> <Method>Focus</Method>
Bobby, I got around to trying Squire yesterday afternoon and this morning. Yesterday I tried it with my lvl 58 frost mage and it did a great job in guiding him into the right areas for the combat, only to watch him not actually take part until he was attacked. I watched him stand there and not do anything until he was sap'd by the rogue that had all day to come on over to the easy target. Like I've seen others say, I think that the CCs other than ShamWow just don't have the auto-initiate that it does... I found myself hitting the tab key to bring up a target and hitting my frostbolt key to initiate combat. As a second issue, and something that is more within your control, I noticed when my mage was following the leader and the leader stopped at a base or flag, that my toon stayed at the stand-off distance (think mine is 20 mtrs since he's range). Unless the leader is literally on top of the flag/base, this leaves my toon 25-30+ feet away, basically standing in the field in AB or something similar. Would it be possible to determine if the leader has hit a base/flag and if so to close the distance to the base/flag rather than hang out in the wings? It just makes sense cause if I'm new or even if I'm not and following a group to an area to either attack or defend and find there is no action when we get there, I don't hang out 30 ft away cause the group I was following stopped at the objective. I'd run a few seconds longer than them, catch up and stand in the crowd. Of course, if they enter combat, then I drop off from a distance and fight at range as I should... so it's all a matter of if they've hit a flag/base area and combat is going on, dismount and start combat - if combat has not started, then close the distance to the objective and help defend. PS. if this is behavior that is not acting as it is designed, please let me know and I'll post a log file.
First: thanks for your nice plugin. I am encountering some problems: My CC is Healing only and has no Pull behaviour that takes me into combat. As such I get stuck in an endless loop at Code: // if (GetActualStrategy() == SquireSettings.CombatStrategy.DPS) { // if (!Me.Combat && leader.Combat) { // have a target? Then PULLL!!!!!!!! if (target != null ) { CallPull(target); } } }
Any chance you can ignore certain classes to follow? Like I hate Mages and I never want to follow their dumb asses around >.> Camping bastards >.> Might as well add Priests / Rogues to that list as well. Or even better bet make it a priority at the very least. Also I would like to see gearscore judgement on follow? Blacklist low gearscore characters for 30 minutes. (Good for level 85 BGs) If it can read the gearscore should be able to ignore talent trees to follow aka other healers. (Blacklist able as well when scanned.) Scan whole raid before BG starts and blacklist above requests as need be. PS Love this addon for healing BGs
Thanks for the post. Will absolutely look at adding those and good luck with your BG Healing, Bobby53
Thanks for the post. I'll provide a mechanism to account for that in the next release. Good luck with your CC, Bobby53
Just wanted to add there is an addon for WoW called KilltheHealer... which just puts a symbol above the healer's toon in BG (Very nice addon =])... so WoW has to already have the ability to at least view talent tree's without the player being focus'ed on within a certain range... Could a CC incorporate that into following and and attacking? If healer within 30 yard change target to healer? Also is they're a short code that could be added into a CC to make that possible? Is this a large effort even though WoW seems to have done the work that's needed? Just a call statement check if theirs a healer in range and then an if statement to attack healer... etc? Lawl sounds simple.
I belive, this is best used with healer classes, but quite useless for dps since will attack only when being attacked (does not initiate combat if the followed target is attacked, or if targets come within range)
I don't think the non-attacking is the plugin but a problem with HB in it's current status. I've seen posts about this throughout the forums.
Hey Bobby, I've been searching through this thread a bit but was wondering if there was a solution for the "unable to mount" error happening on repeat?
I found my (\HonorBuddy\Settings\Squire_CharName.xml) now what do i do? sry guys im totally newb at this..... i really wanna try this as all says its awesome :9
Hey Bobby, quick question: Is it Squire that changes my focus? Using this with The BehaviourTree Ultimate Paladin Healer Custom Class, but the problem i am having is that it will keep changing focus depending on who it wants to follow (focus should be myself). Is it not possible to use this without it changing focus? Also, what is Strategy in the settings? From what i can see, it does not really follow any density, it will just run with some guy it has focused Edit: Is this no longer being managed? Read this a few places and if not, is there any plugin like this? Would be nice to have this opportunity, as this doesn't make us all run in same patterns
Yep it's Squire which sets the focus dunno if bobby53 is supporting this, but i think so, he is active at the forums
Don't really know if this has been suggested before, but would it be possible to: Make a healer follow a pure DPS/tank class like warrior/DK/mage/rogue/hunter. Make a DPS/Tank follow a healer? (I don't know if this part is possible as you don't really know anything about other players spec) I've been using this plugin all weekend, and was able to obtain a full vicious set and trinkets/rings. But I found that sometimes my healer follows another healer, which isn't too helpful. Thanks for reading!
