[Plugin] Squire - A Battleground Follower Plugin

What is the follow density for? What do the #'s represent?

 

Biggest issue this plugin has is when joining AV and there's 3 or so failed botters standing still in the cave entrance, the plugin just follows one of them and thus stands still...the entire game.

Following is very obvious.. The amount of times ive had a followbot.on me is insane.. But.. Have awesome fun leading them into horde packs to die lol

Had to stop using this after I woke up early this morning to see what happened with using squire and was surprised to see my bot standing still while it did nothing at all and got heckled for being a malingerer after I removed squire things got much better for me and my honor/hour increased.
Love to use this again but I can't justify its limited performance in my view.

 

Yeah, seems kind of broken right now. I don't think it's targeting people and it's always saying it crashed or something similar... I'd post a log but I'm not on my PC...

 

i've just tried it in AB and it worked amazingly well, so much better than the default logic where it just goes around on its own running into packs of enemies

is there any chance you could extend it to work in all of the bgs?

 

I agree with some other ppl it seems to be broke right now, It gets stuck from targets going around corners too fast or at max range, like when someone goes up the ramps to the roofs in WSG, it tries to follow your target and keeps walking into a wall, Also getting deserter alot in WSG not sure if thats woots wsg profile or the plugin

 

It?s very very Detectable. I have seen someone in Bg with this Plugin whole bg group laughed about it , three people wrote in bg chat " Hey someone follow me whole time " I laughed hard i thought, hmm it is not the Honorbuddy plugin from our HB forum ?

 

Is there a way to have it clear leader whenever you die or if the toon decides to switch to Defense for AB?

I want the bot to find fights and the plugin to choose a leader within that fight, and after taking over a flag than clearing leader until it finds another battle in progress.

Using a healer class

 

could you maybe make it to work in arena as it isnt that big maps

 

Anyone able to make this block out certain classes or talent trees?

No following Ranged or Stealth'ed units unless there are no other choices.

I read the first post and it says it's for use with BG Bot, but of course now there is no BG Bot because it was replaced with BGBuddy. Does this work with that bot base? I want to start farming honor to exchange for other points to obtain a full set of PVE gear, etc. I tried using my healer with just BGBuddy, and it looked really odd because it just ran around and rarely healed anyone. From reading what this plugin does, it seems like it may make my healer actually work how it is suppposed to do.

 

Would like to have information on that as well!

 

From my experience, this plugin no longer works. It worked beautifully with the old PvP bot. BGbuddy is meant to have logic built in.

 

dose this work still. i want to play my main (dps) and have a healer follow me ect was told about this plugin

 

This kept causing wow to crash, so I don't think it works still. Sadly, it worked well until it crashed.

My apologies regarding the lack of attention on this item. Squire originally implemented behavior to move to the largest packs of friendlys/fights in a battleground. This was needed as the original PVP Bot in HonorBuddy only supported a grind type of profile. Later when BGBuddy was released it provided functionality similar to and in many ways superior to Squire. In the coming weeks, I'll review the posts made, do some testing on Squire with BGBuddy, and then follow up here regarding next steps for Squire. This is exactly what i was looking for. Trying to get a healer on my bot account to follow me around while i was on my main account. I would love to see this working again with BGbuddy.
