Sorry, I have tried this out but have been out on the town since. I did notice the "twirl" still when engaging in melee combat. I attempted it with a Ret Paladin and Feral Druid and noticed the spinning was prominent. One time it was in AV on Belinda. She was pinned against the wall and the spinning was real bad. It could have been bad luck with the placement. I will see some more tomorrow. Going to pass out now.
Since the SVN update WoW gets massive video lock ups on multiple computers. Disable the strafing and it is smooth. Aside from that the new strafe is more natural than the old.
Big problems with strafing atm. When it tries to "jump" strafe around a target it sort of runs in a circle... like using the arrow keys. And sometimes it will just straight up strafe -- like it has no target at all. I don't know if this is working as intended or not; if it is, I apologize for the oversight. I've had to disable movement and strafing on the addon to continue botting normally. That is with a complete reinstall of Honorbuddy and an update of the SVN just to make sure it wasn't something else. I have also noticed the video lockups as stated above me.
Hi, I have a few questions regarding this plugin. Sorry if any are obvious.. The free version of this plugin works, just without any custom settings? Because I have not really noticed any different behaviours (could be my setup). Does it change any pathing logic, that is will I still follow around other bots when 'Moving to biggest friendly pack' at the start of some bg's? Do you have some testimonials I can have a look at? Thanks.
Ok, looked at the new version again this morning and I see the video lag as mentioned by others as well. This is with a fresh install of the plugin and HB using singular with movement and targeting off. This is most prominent when in intense battles it seems. Here is a log in case it helps. Run a few dozen BGs without it. Then run with it. You will notice. Or read older posts, I explain my experience with the plugin several times. It does still follow the standard path but that is the only time I see it in a group with other bots in AV. Smaller BGs due to the combat tweaks it is typically never following a bot-like character. I would say the best reason to currently use the addon is the movement/strafing for melee classes. The basic plugin with casters is pretty similar to the upgrade. I have donated to several custom class routines and some do not work with this plugin. These CCs I consider mandatory for questing, grinding and dungeons. That said if my choice is pvp suite or CC I always pick the suite. I was going to donate $15 as a thank you anyway since I pvp 90% of the time so adding another 10 really wasn't a big deal for a plugin I use always. Then again 3 of the 5 custom class routines I have donated to we're $20-$25 and they suck in pvp. (They don't suck in pvp, or I mean it isn't their fault. In combat they work impressively but the movement logic from bgbuddy unmodified is terrible. Warrior basically standing still attacking? ya that's how real people play melee. Casters standing still, spam casting in a 1v8? I don't think so. the pvp suite fixes little things like those) There are still flaws but until this is a botbase to replace bgbuddy I don't see how they can be corrected. If you join AV late your character runs half way across the map or until it finds combat. Running up towers and then back down is another issue. Trying to cap a flag while 10 people beat on you is also a problem (pvp suite fixes it though). I've run bgbot a lot as a alternative and to look different but in towers it stands at the botton instead of flag room or moving on and who in their right mind would defend at the bottom? My favourite is running into the commander and face pulling BEFORE anyone else is ready. The damn thing suicides a lot on drek, sometimes a healer foolishly heals me and the bot wipes the whole alliance group. If you use the movement/jumping and strafing settings you should disable movement in your class config. If you use a custom class, that's probably the problem. Aside from video locks which I assume is causing the unusual oval strafes as it cannot accurately move while locked; the plugin works great with singular. To be clear, if you have movement and jumping in pvp suite enabled you should disable movement in class config (set it to "classonly" so you still use class movement abilities like charge or sprint). That lets pvp suite control movement but still leaves singular to control movement abilities. EDIT: Right now with strafing off because of the video issue I have to run with the class config movement turned on or else bot stands still after combat even with pvp suite movement enabled. Otherwise, yesterday before the strafe logic update I would run movement set to classonly in CC and all movement options on in pvp suite (minus stay behind target). So once strafe is working better I'll go back to those settings.
I assumed the "Let UPVP Suite Control Movement" option overrides the class movement. Thanks for the clarification.
Updated SVN to 159, the settings I used in 158 and the post I made above explaining my settings were not good in 158. I had to revert to CC movement on and suite strafing off because of video issues and with strafing off to fix video issue the bot would not move after initiating combat. Now with 159 I have suite movement/jumping and strafing on and class movement set to classonly. Sorry for the confusion, I may have to change settings again if it doesn't act how I prefer. I'll edit this post to let you know Freebz. Edit: It still locks up and as melee the strafing is still wide arcs with keyboard so maybe my file isn't updating. SVN says it is updated so i don't know unless 159 isn't the update which disabled keyboard movement like I assumed it did. So for melee and casters I use (at the moment) strafe off and class config movement set to all/on (not auto).
The only difference between 158 and the rest is the keyboard turning. Nothing else actually changed between all 3 revisions.
Load of crap, never used your plugin, never will and i got all and more then i need. Your not that special and your plugin isnt either. Let me break that down for you: HTML: Consumables - Refills Food and Drink from Refreshment Table. - Refills Health Stones from Soul Wells. - Creates Soul Wells. - Creates Refreshment Tables. - Use Healthstone - Use Health Potion - Use PvP Health Potion - Use Battle Standard - Use PVP HP Trinket PVP Trinkets and Racials - Uses Racial Traits. (Dwarf, Human, Gnome, Undead) - Uses PVP Trinkets to break CC. Interrupt Logic - Customize Interrupt Spell List - Ability to Interrupt non Target Casters Loot Insignia and Grab Refreshments + Health Stones - Ability to loot Player Corpses. - Ability to pick up Refreshments and Health Stones - Ability to pick up Battleground Power Ups. Is all useless, every single thing. If your botting a bg, you dont need any of that crap. Just a load of puss added to make it look cool imo, its all useless 2 the max! You think im hating now? nah, i checked this thread cause i heard about the plugin and i see you posting answers like you did and like its all that. If it was that good, you would be contacted allready to have it implemented in the bot, and its not.
LOL. I will just leave this here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/search.php?searchid=6805828 +1 If anyone can look at that and tell me why I find it so amusing.
Dead link? I don't know why that guy is hating so much. The plugin is not at all required to BG and the base plugin is free for everyone and works better than stock hbuddy. Even the movement/strafing is free. It seems like his frustration should be directed at hbuddy as a botbase and it seems like he is quite vocal about calling the DEVS out in his other thread posts. Sometimes I run a CC with his movement plugin but mostly I use the pvp suite without CC.
I have a Problem with the latest Version. It's doesn't move anymore. I tried with my DK and different CCs. Since the strafe/video issue (version# 158 and 159) the pvp suite does not work with it's movement. Turn on movement in your CC and turn off strafe in the suite. That works for my DK right now using singular. With Strafe/movement/jumping on and CC move off he just moves to target and stands there. I have not used TuanHA since last week so I have no idea if it currently works with pvp suite. Phelon would know better. Where as before 158 I would run with CC movement disabled and suite movement all set on.
