I'm having a bit of a headache trying to set up UPVP Suite for my Warrior (this is the case for all other classes too). 1) Which actions count as interrupts for spell casters? Are there any limitations of use, such as actions that attack/damage more than one enemy in the actions catchment radius? I have set up what I think would act as interrupts (even though the WoW tool tip pop ups do not state that the action actually interrupts spell casters), including the types of actions that affect more than one in the action's catchment radius. Stunning or knocking down an enemy I'd assume would count as a usable interrupt in UPVP Suite, even though it's not indicated on the WoW tool tip pop up, can you confirm this please? 2) What is the catchment radius for each interrupt action? Do we use the `yards' specified on the tool tip pop up of WoW or some other radius? When there is no interrupt action catchment radius specified in the WoW tool tip pop up, what radius values should we use? It would be helpful if you could provide full lists for each class' specific interrupt actions and their respective radii, as there are many players who just stick to a few or even one class and are unfamiliar with a lot of the spells and abilities of other classes. As a fix for UPVP Suite, these drop down lists should be provided in UPVP Suite once one has set their class in the UPVP Suite GUI. This should automatically populate the radius input box with the action's catchment radius, already set for convenience. Having to research and manually input the details, which many may not know, is time consuming and laborious. Having compatible interrupts there ready to select from one's respective class would be much easier, efficient and convenient. I feel this would be a great feature fix for UPVP Suite, adding great value to an already well known plug-in. Thanks for reading.
Send a PM with your donation reference. Wait. Be patient. He'll get around to it in a timely manner. Edit: You also only need to PM him once with this info. Doing it any more will just fill his inbox and take him longer wading through unnecessary rubbish and duplicates.
The top is my plugin folder, the bottom is within the Suite folder. It doesn't show the GUI. What am I missing? View attachment 67641
You are missing the whole GUI folder. Re-download from SVN and then load Honorbuddy. Wait until you can access the UPVP Suite plugin settings. Honorbuddy may download a new version of UPVP Suite when you load Honorbuddy and it will tell you of this in the logging screen. Once you've accessed the UPVP Suite settings, log in with your SVN details on the first GUI page and the GUI will activate. If you don't see the GUI Login page you've not got the new version so an update will be required. Hope this helps.
The yards is just the distance off the in game tool tip. I have my warrior set up with Pummel 7 / Shockwave 7 / Mass Spell Reflect 30. As for adding features like class specifics.. it is just too much work to warrant the small benefit I am afraid. People should know their class well enough to input those things themselves. Heck.. they only need to scroll over their tool tip in game and it will tell them the range on it =) As handy as that feature would be for some.. It probably won't happen any time soon. What he said. Delete your old settings folder and try again. Everything looks like it should. Do you have any other UPvP folders in there?
What about all the spells and actions from enemies that need to be interrupted? You've given us a section where we can fill out the names of each enemy spell or action to interrupt, yet how are we expected to memorise every offensive spell from every other class if we don't play them or are unfamiliar with them? We can't simply scroll the mouse over to see the tool tip as this would appear on the enemies screen, not ours. Having a drop down list to select enemy class and spell to interrupt would be more intuitive than having to manually add them like we have to at the moment. It would also be simple to implement, both for interrupt action to take and for specific spells to interrupt. Why not just have each interrupt trigger when any spell (that is detrimental to our team or heals/helps the enemy team) is cast by an enemy? This would make sense, rather than having to research different classes and spells to add manually, it should already be in the plugin and updated regularly. Having to add spells to interrupt manually just doesn't make sense as all bad spells should be interrupted by default and the plugin should know which these are already.
Yea that probably wont ever happen. Way too much work for me to make it slightly easier on others. If you want to make a thread and have people add to it.. I do not mind adding that to the internal spell list. But I do not see me going through every class spells and making drop downs for them. Sorry man, but the gain isn't worth the work on that one.
It won't make it "slightly" easier on others (as you put it) to provide this list, it would make it very much less of a massive headache instead of having to go around everywhere to find interruptible spell names just to add to your list. Just providing a list of classes and their interruptible spells would go a long way to ease the pain. You could even provide it on the forums in a text file. At least we'd have a reference if you were to provide this list. I'm guessing if you're refusing to put class specific interrupt actions in to the interrupt section of the program and also refusing to put selectable interruptible spells underneath, then at least provide the list of interrupt actions and interruptible spells here, so people can add them manually without having to do every bit of research imaginable.
As I said before.. if you want to chip in and start a thread for this or even collect them here I am more than happy to add them. The problem is people only want to interrupt certain spells. Adding a whole list just means people now need to remove them. It is a vice verse thing man. Not only is it very time consuming and tedious on my end, others will end up having to do the reverse of what they are doing now. Personally I only interrupt healing and CC spells. Others may only need CC and the list goes on. I have added a InterruptSpells.xml file to the SVN. Just place that in your server/charname settings folder and it will give you a starter list of spells to interrupt. It has most heals in it and some CC. Small update to SVN: Added - InterruptSpells.xml Added - Added Ability to use LazyRaider Removed - Caster Strafe Options from Gui
Deleted my settings folder, still nothing happens. When I press the config button, nothing happens. It shows up in plugins though. I don't have any other PVP folders, and it's just the three files from your SVN. There's no GUI folder.
If you need more info, let me know. As I explained before, if you look at the screenshot you see that I have the correctly named folder within my plugins, and the files are within that folder. If I'm missing other files, then I don't know where to find them, but it seems like I'm only supposed to need the files that are on the SVN. Nothing happens. Just a question, maybe it's the HB version? I'm using the beta, but the plugin worked fine on it before.
I understand you are busy but, any luck on the svn e-mails being sent out, i sent you a PM with my order information and donated earlier this week. Any update would be great thank you.
can u change when it drops guild battle standard. It seems to only throw it down when my character is just about to die. Maybe when its off cd it throw it down right when about to pull/enter combat? every time when im about to die it throws it down haha. kinda useless honor gain when you die it despawns to a 10 min cd.
Adding People now before work. There might be an issue with the SVN version. I Will have to check into it later today. Edit I just tested with the SVN version and it is working for me. So please let me know if it isnt working for you. Please make sure you have the latest SVN version. It should auto update for you if you have the DLL.
I will delete my settings and see if that breaks it. If it does I might know what is wrong. Edit: Tested with fresh install of HB and fresh install of UPvP and it worked. Are you all on a non English client of HB? Let me know.
