no no , i want to fix my GB2 profile, not a grind profile, but i dunno which bot to use to do that , cause i load my profile and i cannot use the tool (zap) to chech hotspots like button for "go to"
For generating a profile, it doesn't matter, which bot you use. Preferable however, I use combat bot, because if you accidently add some mobs on your route, you can fight back. I never used the Zap2 test function, because I see no reason to do double check a profile. Zap2 profiles always worked perfectly for me so far. I always tested my profiles live and add hotspots & blackspots manually with the HB Developer Tool (actualize the toon's position in there before generating a spot!).
Dude. The announcement is there for INFORMATION to YOU. Noone else can read it. Same is done in LazyRaider/Tyrael among other things. It's not like it does /say Heya, my zaprecorder started now, plz report me. Chill you paranoia, ZapRecorder is SAFE.
I have a few issues with grinding profiles: I am using the ZapRecorder2 plugin for modifying profiles, and i have a basic (no hotspots or factions) grind profile template that i copy/paste whenever i need a new profile to edit with ZapRecorder2. However every time i record hotspots (waypoints?) with ZapRecorder2 he automatically deletes all the <GrindArea> stuff (including the parts about factions, min max levels etc...) - and replaces it all with a simple <Hotspots> (my recorded hotspots) </Hotspots>. Is there any way to prevent the hotspot recorder from deleting all the stuff about <GrindArea>? I am getting really tired of having to manually add all the deleted <GrindArea> stuff back into the profile after the ZapRecorder2 is finished saving the recorder hotspots... Also is there any faster way of adding Faction IDs into the grind profiles? Or must i use the "developer tools" menu to see what the Faction ID is for every mob i want to kill and manually (wordpad...) add it into the grind profile? On a side note, are there any better ways/plugins to make grind profiles? ZapRecorder2 seems to lack basic settings/features for making grind profiles - it's options are more oriented towards gathering professions... Thank you for reading and helping me out...
Why using a template? Simply start ZapRec2, fill in faction (from the DevTool) and other stuff into it's GUI and run around. It will do everything for you, when you save new generated the profile. If you want to add the GrindArea tags, do it manually (not a great effort, is it?)... simple as is.
How do I get ZapRecorder to show up in my plugins? I believe its located in the correct location \Documents\Honorbuddy\Plugins\ZapRecorder however once I start HB and click plugins I don't see it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Really? Change the file name... something that simple... I changed it and it worked fine thanks a lot.
When i create a prifile, it has to be under grind bot at the time of creation, but when i run the profile that i just made, if it was made to gather mine nodes, should i run gatherbuddy2 or just keep it on grindbot?
I am still paranoid. If you could not announce in the chat frame then that would be good. I use Zap to make custom profiles all the time. Works like a champ.
hola if i try to add a vendor or repair. it tells me i do not have a target. but sure, i clicked on the vendor before .. do you know that ? best regards Lilu
got the same problem with repair [4:08:05 AM] - Cannot add repair merchant as you do not have a target!
I reckon this has to do with the fact that yellow vendors are not necessarily friendly targets. Try to increase your reputation with their faction to at least friendly and you'll see that it works. The HB API seems to make differences here. It's not a ZR2 issue in that case but an issue of the HB API function being used. However, if you tag a green vendor first and go to the repair vendor tab, you can copy the vendor line and add it into you profile manually, adjusted with the ID and coordinates of the yellow vendor. IDs can be found here Wowhead: The one thing on which Ninjas and Pirates agree. (search for the vendor's name and copy the ID from the URL). Coordinates can be taken from the HB Developer Tool.
Have just started using HB and have found this invaluable Works like a charm. Many thanks for your work
I can't figure out why the test profile tab won't work for me. : (. I want to go back and edit out some hotspots in the profile I made, without blacklisting them, so i can move around an area instead of through it. The 'test profile' tab should load a specific hotspot when I click it, but I can never get it enabled. Am I doing something wrong?
yes, or just add the vendor (same for yellow) as first thing u doing after restart honorbuddy and zaprecorder. and it will work fine
