Haha, that doesn't sound very fun.. I bot on my main. I wake up, turn my bot on. Jump in the shower head to work, go out to eat afterwards, maybe hit the gym or hang out with some friends. Then I come home 10 hours later with 10k worth of mats in my bags for my hard day of work.
I play sometimes and when i do it as if i am playing manually and nothing abnormal like 28 hours of the same process.
Frequently, I bot to advance my account. Not to manage multiple accounts and advance a second one then transfer items, I'm willing to take the risk to increase my enjoyment of the game by many many times what it would be without this bot. Plus I have a great deal of faith in the team here and trust that if I get banned it is due to my own stupidity most likely. Long as you monitor your bot as much as possible and do extensive testing before using CCs and profiles and use common sense the chances of getting banned are incredibly slim. Don't get greedy, don't be an idiot.
Been botting the same 2 accounts for around 3-4 years now on and off, sometimes all day and all night for a few days running, never been banned. I've been reported (apparently) many many times and have recieved multiple whispers, but nothings ever happened! I'm pretty sure some guy /w me once saying something like: "Ha, caught you in the act - your botting!" I just said : "yeah so?" ... nothing ever came of it!
Never because i dont wanna lose it i have an extra account for botting gold so i dont need to do it my self
I hve one account farmin herbs / ores and my main.. with my main I bot mostly with Lazyraider or pvp w/o movement... and right now i'm using rarekiller to get TLPD All in all: Bot account all the time (16h / day) Main account yes, but never afk.. except for a toilet run, while using IB with follow tank
i bot on my main. If it gets banned ill call blizzard crying like a 5 year old who wants ice cream at wall-mart. This is not an exaggeration. After that ill setup afew accounts to bot with, and legit play mine. Ive been botting for a month with little to no downtime (20 hours a day, except on patches), and ive played maybe.... umm well i Check AH by hand, thats about it. I check my mailbox, check AH prices, buy shit thats underpriced, and sell it back for base. Then i continue botting
I haven't botted on my main toons ever but I use it for leveling and I might bot a lot on my Paladin alt I have now.
All the time. All 4 toons in my sig were leveled from 1 to 85 with Honorbuddy and all have full Vicious/Ruthless PvP gear. Druid has maxed out Herbalism/Alchemy, Hunter has maxed out Skinning/Leatherworking, Warrior has maxed out Mining/Blacksmithing and Shaman has maxed out Mining/Engineering. All the toons have First Aid and Archaeology maxed as well. I've made well over 100k gold in the process and I wasn't even intentionally farming for it. Aiming to make a mage as my last character. If it wasn't for Honorbuddy, Blizzard wouldn't be getting my $15/month for my subscription...and I hope they understand there are possibly hundreds, even thousands more that feel the same way.
always did and always will. doing arch 24/7 now, i want that damn mount Every epic so far in my bags, besides the effin mount... after that ill prolly work some more on achieves... bot-able ones if i wouldnt bot, i would quit playing... instantly!
Always , Lazyraider and HC , Raids ... GB2 To make gold (dosnt sell). Been playing since Vanilla , quit hardcore raiding mid wotlk ... If i get a ban iam out of this game. Botting is the only amusement left in WoW to me ... Edit: Been booting my "main" acc since the early glider days , dodged the banways with temp pauses from wow.
Can i withdraw my earlier answer.... I've stopped I came to this having already completed many a challenging task, like the insane or raising 400k of gold. I used botting to get me past some hurdles of pure grinding like archeology, or leveling up classes so that i could gain alts with professions (which i've actually not really made any use of already having plenty of gold, its been more a matter of convenience of not having to ask guildies for things) or even just to try out classes. That said after being done with those few grinds.. i no longer have any reason to bot. I still make money the way i used to safe in the knowledge that i earn more than i would botting and the last few things i want to get on my character are things that i couldnt/wouldnt bot anyway... like the mount from TK Im sure there will be more in future, perhaps ill level classes i didnt yet but for now i just cant see the point.. i dont play any of my alts anyway
iVE NEVER HAD PROBLEM BOTTING ON MAIN ACCOUNT, IF I DO GET BANNED, WELL THE UNIVERSE DID ME A BIG FAVOR xD
I still bot on my main about 1/3 of the time each day now since I created a new account and spend most of the time leveling up a druid there... (up to mid 60s so far). Once I get the alt account fully ready (multiple 85s with the right professions) then I will likely only do things like archeology and fishing on my main account.
