yes. My friend got his first ban, and it's perm. Confirmed.

6 month ban, 1 account (my main),paid account,,haven't played in 10 days, tried to log on today and got the message, used mostly combat bot, maybe an hour at a time

2/2 accounts both 6 month.. retarded thing is - 2nd account NEVER botted; they just blanket banned them both. If they don't reverse the ban, (and I doubt they will) I am officially retired from WoW and I will not go back.

See the "Or for NO Reason". Well I was not bottlng for the last 1 1/2 freaking years and they still gave me a 6 month ban and I appealed it and got an answer this morning of NO Reason given, the GM pointed me to the TOS and that is all.

So goodbye wow and hello to some other game.

Yes Banned 6 months because of wave. No tripwire played night of the 12th then logged on the 13th and wow could not log in banned.

 

They generally weigh up some factors I believe if you spend a lot of money character transfers and what not I mean a lot of money they would rather suspend you or leave you alone, if you don't then well they don't care having said that though I know people have been perma banned simply by getting a cunt of a gm for first offence.

 

I wonder those people that did not get banned do they spend a lot of money on store items, character transfer, realm transfers or was it just a matter of fact of banning x amount of people per server? surely they are aware many more of us bot?

havent been playing for 6 - 7 months, came back and botted to 100 on one character, was at 99 on the second when the ban hit..(about two weeks all together, around 4-5 hours a day, at different times, from different computers (I can play at work))..
I was supervising mine the entire time, stopping every now and then to run a bg manually, goofing off, mining, chatting with people...
It got detected, no big deal to me (As I didnt get a perm-a-ban) but I will miss honorbuddy, it made the boring stuff a lot more fun..
Honorbuddy was the best money I have spent, but I have uninstalled/deleted all three of my installs..
Tried several ways to get unbanned, nothing worked. They told me that I could play my second account(didnt know they knew about that one, as it is under a different name/credit card), but to be sure any software that violated TOS was removed because they would hate for me to pay to play again and get that one banned as well.. Cut and paste below..

Thank you for your continued correspondence. After a thorough final review of the action taken against this license, we have arrived at the same conclusion. The action will not be reversed or changed under any circumstances.

As for the questions though, yes it's a 6 month suspension in this case and not a permanent account closure. So when we get to 11/14/15 the license will be available to play once again. Of course, you are more than welcome to play the XXXX license or add a new one if you still want to play. I would focus on ensuring that you address the root cause of the violation first and evaluate or re-evaluate any and all programs that you have running on your system. After all, I wouldn't want to see you in the same boat again after the suspension is lifted or investing time and money into an additional license just to have it suffer the same fate because the root cause was never addressed.
