I'll be sure to try this when I get home, and will update if it crashes or not. Thanks for the tip.

How do I know if bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072 takes? I see the little black window pop up and disappear and then I restarted the computer. From there I ran hb and glue and wow crashed shortly into my first wsg. I am thinking I probably did something wrong but am not sure. Thanks for any advice.

NM I missed the post on ths fix only being for Win 7 32. I am on 64. Carry on...

It's still crashing... Just tried it and as I said and assumed before: this does not have any effect to 64 bit systems...
Running 64bit Win7, 32bit Client, WoW just crashed after ~20 minutes.

      -edit-
Maybe for your information what IncreaseUserVA really does - here a little background:
Per default 32-bit Windows (Vista/7) divides its memory in 2GB of user space for your programs, games, etc. and 2GB of system space for your kernel and I/O devices. Therefore the default entry of IncreaseUserVA is 2048 (=2GB)
With the posted command (bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072) provides 3072MB (3GB) for user space, there as you will have only 1GB to system space. Not all applications are using that extra GB, but you could run into troubles. So if you find issues with your PC while setting that to 3072, or/and your PC gets unstable you should revoke that change by entering "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 2048" in your command prompt.

This counts only for 32-bit, as 64-bit supports already 4GB user space!

      @ Venus:
      Vista 32 bit yes.

PS: If this change really has an effect to your 64-bit system this might be placebo, but technically it's actually not really comprehensible :) - and in my case it wasn't helping at all, as I supposed ;)

      -edit2-
If you are using that command don't forget to reboot, otherwise this definitely can't have any effect :p

And yes it's still 3072... It doesn't have any effect and in fact it can't have any effect on 64 bit systems :p

Its for combat purpose, so just use Glue.

      Works great.

Is it useful for Window 7 64-bit 8GB RAM?

Glue is great plugin but it crashed WOW after each 1-2 BGs. If Glue disabled, my melee toons can do BGs for 7-8 hours w\o any problem.

      Once again:
THIS DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON 64 BIT, AS THIS COMMAND JUST INCREASES THE USER SPACE TO 3 GB INSTEAD OF 2 GB. ON 64 BIT YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THAT, AS IT COMES AUTOMATICALLY WITH AN HIGHER ADDRESSED USER SPACE!

And if you don't believe me (I was actually studying that, but well...), just check on google and I'm pretty sure you will find the same answer :p

All the same, this fix has worked for me on 64 bit... was crashing every 1 or 2 BGs before, no crashes since. Weird, but true.

Just reading on Internet i came across something that 64-bit can use high or low addresses and if systemfiles are made the opposite way it could cause unwanted behaviour.

Can't find the page again and didn't pay much attention at that time since i'm on 32-bit.

I'm sure some1 a bit more into 64-bit systems can fill in the gaps.
