I tried using the profil but it doesn't work. I'm in the middle of one of the quests. The bot runs to Harrision and picks up the "blue" quest but then stops doing anything. It's not possible to use the profile in the middle of a quest chain?

 

I did my best to ensure every quest was able to be completed. Though I did add Horde in after the fact, so there could be a few Horde quest IDs that make restarting the quest in the middle difficult. Is there any reason you are starting it in the middle?

The Jones quests are random in appearance and only one is offered daily. It usually takes about 10 days for all to appear, but one time or took me over 2 weeks to get the final quest!

 

I will - Can you go to other peoples garrisons and get different daily quest if they have harrison up?

 

Great work mate.. As of 6.2.2 it seems to have a few little bugs ? would you like me to trouble shoot them for you ?

FYI - I'm not sure but I think some one may have copied your work and is now selling it... I will pm you some more info

 

I have fixed most of the issues except one quest that you kinda need a QB for, also added support for flying etc.
Could upload it if ArmyDr doesn't mind.

That would be great, flying makes these quests so easy.

I think as long as you credit him for the original work (unlike some authors, who are charging for his work cause they updated it) it should be fine,

Yeh, it happens, I know my work has been copied and put on store as well.
Thats why I wont release all my work until I can put stuff on the store and at least have xml protection.

 

It really shouldn't - NOT for work that someone has put time and effort THEN RELEASED TO THE COMMUNITY FOR FREE ! only to have it ripped packaged up - pretty picture put on then sold.

This profile on release and during the time he maintained it was near flawless (as close as flawless you will get)- all done for the greater of the community- Something that is happening less and less these days..

I would really like to see HB introduce some rule that forces devs on the buddy store to at least have ONE community project of actual worth maintained and free for HB users..

 

Why ?
Very little of the community actually appreciates and deserves the hard work that goes into releasing profiles.

I can count the amount of reputation and praises given on both hands, for all my work, which is thousands of downloads.
Some of my work I would never ever release for free and thus its not available atm.

 

Yea and its something that needs to change... When I first started botting- The community was all about helping each other out...

I remember back in Pirox days- we use to have FTP- that every one would upload farming profiles- and the bot would randomly pick between them.. It was all community work..

FYI- I have no issues for dev charging for work- But I just think a certain small percentage of their work should be given back to the community..

 

Thecamel and Tomten... thank you both for your conversation here! Feel free to use and upload any portion of my profile you need/want. I know it was working pretty much flawless up until the latest patch, but I am sure could use tweaks now that there is flying.

I don't like that someone is charging for what I think should be free for the community. I spent a ridiculous amount of time doing this profile. I spent that time because I enjoyed the challenge and I donated it to the community because I believe in community based efforts.

As you both mentioned, the old pat on the back via the thumbs up or consistent appreciation is severely lacking these days. For instance, I'll have 1 thumbs up for every 1000 downloads!!! To me this is for one of many reasons, the biggest of which is that the community has changed. The vast majority of the community is using HB for the core components. If they need any extra "component" they (the community) are willing to pay a few dollars to have it added to their botting experience. Unfortunately, a majority of the free to community stuff downloads are much lower quality than store products (in general).

One last note: I've basically stopped coding/botting since I've come back from the big take down about six months ago. I still play WOW, but it's only on a couple of characters and the botting risk just isn't worth it for my current goals.

Another Ban wave today!!!
I lost one account (18 month ban) and another got a six month ban (first offense).
I can't tell you how happy I have been hand jamming my main.

The game is still very fun for me in many aspects. I just make sure I stick to the parts I like and avoid as much grinding as humanly possible.

In my humble opinion, botting for the casual gamer is no longer worth it. It is clear that Blizzard waited exactly 1 month from releasing the previous suspension to #1 get the $ from the botters who would resubscribe (I did on one of my accounts, luckily just for one month) and #2 to round up the last six months + the old botters in yet another humongous ban wave.

GL to everyone! Will update main post stating the same as I obviously will not be up keeping this profile.
