Removed that now,. and still the same if not worse.. even removed the trinkets file in Helper folder, and it drops from 150fps down to 9 ever other second.. Any other id?as ? // M
I have no other ideas, sorry. This isn't a bug I have ever experienced on my main computer or on my laptop, which is a significantly weaker machine. Only thing I can really recommend is a clean install of HB, and ensure that you aren't running any plugin whilst running MutaRaidBT.
I've pushed a new version to the SVN with fixed trinket Luaness and some other cool stuff, if you're still experiencing issues try the newest version. If you still experience lag with the newest version, try once with raid bot and once with combat bot -- let me know if there is a difference between the two (there shouldn't be after the latest update) and upload your logs too. Cheers.
Ok, will try them out about 1 h on each and tell you the diffrence between them, just saw that it was an update I'll be back with feedback mate..
I've been doing a little thinking regarding cooldowns, and I think I've come up with a solution. Before I implement anything I just wanted to post here and ask all the regular users MutaRaidBT for input. So, as far as I am concerned, there are five ways cooldowns could go: 1. Activate automatically by the bot. 2. Never activated by the bot 3. Controlled by a macro 4. Controlled by focus target. 5. Controlled by a button on the UI. The first option, activated automatically by the bot, is never going to be ideal. Cooldowns will be used on cooldown and oftentimes they won't sync up with other raid buffs, burn phases, etc. The second option is equally as frustrating, because you will never be able to get a garotte off after a vanish (unless you are extremely lucky) because of the way Honorbuddy controls combat. The third option is great, but unfortunately it requires a Lua call every frame, and at very low/very high frame rates the macro doesn't always register when you press it. This means that your client performance will degrade and might result in screen freezing, etc, depending on your computer. The fourth (and best, imo) option is to handle cooldown usage with your focus target. Currently tricks of the trade will be cast on your focus target on cooldown. I propose the following: - If your focus target is an ally and in your party, tricks will be cast on him/her on cooldown. - If your focus target is empty, no tricks will be cast, and no cooldowns will be used. - If your focus target is a hostile unit AND you are targeting said unit, cooldowns will be used. This would mean that, through the use of one or two ingame focus macros, you could switch your focus quickly ingame to the boss that you are fighting when it is time to use cooldowns, and then switch back to your tricks target afterwards. The fifth and final option is a little clunky, but I figure it merits a mention anyway. You would simply have the MutaRaidBT UI open in the background, and when you want to pop cooldowns, maximise it and hit a big button. Hit the big button again afterwards to toggle off cooldowns. In summary, I think the best option is 4), with the ability to instead choose 1) or 2) through a checkbox on the UI. 3) has too many problems, and 5) is too clunky. Floors open for thoughts!
I actually liked it when the bot only used CDs on bosses.. half the time we pull a boss now my cds arent up because the bot used it on trash.. Also, like the EzRet CC etc, theres a macro that toggles combat on and off, and one that toggles aoe on and off. Is it not possible to do a similar one here? Toggle Cooldowns, Toggle Combat, Toggle Aoe? Also.. no matter how many adds there are my bot never seems to fan of knives.. Also does this support T13 2 Set Bonus? "After triggering Tricks of the Trade, your abilities cost 20% less energy for 6 sec."
Ok, well I have thought about this, and, the 4th seems to be the best. Since this is mainly for Raid/Dungeons, as a rogue you should have your tank as focus, (you prolly change that in the upcoming PvP part of the CC since PvP aint the same, AND, in Arena I would like the 4th option back, like in raids, that would be sooo handy, and ? think it will up the performance of the Arena usage) and just use a "mouse over macro" to focus the target you want, in other words: Clear focus and dont use your CD's at all. If it is a party/raid member, you just cast the ToT (but does it not use CD's at all then unless I clear the focus?) On hostiletarget, pop all ya shit and let the poisons drip.. I like it.. I can say since your last update (I use the v4) I got my rogue up 4-5k unbuffed on single target, and I ain't experiencing lag anymore. I like this CC, ALOT, and I also like that you ask us who use it what we think (many others just change their CC and dont care about feedback) Keep it up mate! Like Bobby Marley once sang: One love! Where do I donate to this? (first donation I feel is money well spent) // M
I don't know if these ideas are feasible or not, but how about: User controlled Cold Blood and Vendetta if target = trash. Always Cold Blood (when not on cool down) if target = boss and we have 5 combo points. Always Vendetta (when not on cool down) if Bloodlust or Timewarp are up. Always Vendetta (when not on cool down) if target = boss, boss health is below 35% and we are behind the boss (and landslide is up?) Got a few other ideas I'll expand on when I'm not taking a dump at work and typing on this fiddly frickin phone
^^ This one sounds good, that we we can "manually" use vendetta whenever we want before those certain "Triggers" go off.
I've pushed a new version to the SVN. The new version includes three different, toggleable modes of cooldown usage. 1. Select RAID from the class config UI and your cooldowns will only be used while your focus target is hostile and you are targeting the same target. 2. Select DUNGEON from the class config UI and your cooldowns will be used automatically as in older versions of MutaRaidBT. 3. Select anything else from the class config UI and your cooldowns will be used automatically against any type of mob. Remember to apply your changes on the UI. Let me know how it goes! Use-cooldowns-on-everything is definitely not going to be a solution for the long term. Like you said, they're not always up for bosses, etc, and it really doesn't work out well. The problem with using macros a la EzRet is that each macro takes up a Lua call every frame, which could result in terrible performance on lower spec machines. Additionally the macro isn't always responsive and reliable. I am no expert on detection either but it seems to me that using a macro on the client could potentially lead to security risks as well. FoK usage has been removed for the time being because I found the bot was often AoEing in undesirable situations, for example the final boss of Dragon Soul where you have to single target down the tentacles. I'll get it added back in sometime in the future in a more reliable manner. There's nothing to support really with T13 2 Set, it uses tricks on cooldown anyway. Cheers for the feedback, I'm glad it is working well. There's a donation link on the first post in this thread (near the bottom) if you feel so inclined. Cheers! All good ideas, definitely worth considering. I'll implement this in the next version probably. Thanks!
An Idea: Trixter's UI has a button you can click to keep the UI ontop of wow, and resize it. That means you can enable or disable Rupture, Adrenaline Rush, etc. on the fly. That has been, in my opinion, the ideal on-the-go swap for cooldowns. For those of you rooting for using cd's on cd every cd, understand that the Authors of CC's, especially this one, want to see maximum performance. What would your dps look like if you used Vendetta and Cold Blood on cooldown for Warlord Zon'ozz if you used them at the start, and they weren't available for Black Phase? The Difference would be incredible. What would happen if you switch to a slime for Yor'sahj and it pops Vendetta on it? or on Mutated Corruption on Madness instead of During Cataclysm? If you want maximum performance, you need to be able to push at least 1 or 2 buttons, and know when to. Also, Fiftypence, I was wondering if you could possibly code an override for the detection on front or back of an NPC for backstab for the following 2 targets: Code: Arm Tentacle Code: Wing Tentacle It's a pretty big dps increase to backstab, but since we are from the front, I'm manually spamming backstab and doing my finishers sub 35%, because I'm not completely sure if the CC is doing them. If they are already, great work, mate! But I do not have the opportunity to check because I always have to maximize output for Heroic Madness. Thanks for all the great work, by the way!
Good thinking, I hadn't even considered that. If there are any other mobs that you are "always behind" due to mechanics let me know and I'll get them added in. Also I'll look into the UI-window-over-game idea and see what can be done about that, if it works it would be an ideal solution for cooldowns as well as aoe usage and a combat toggle.
New version has been pushed to the SVN! Check out the UI. There is now an option which allows you to launch "combat control" -- a small window that you can place over your game window. From here you can quickly turn cooldowns on/off, aoe usage on/off, and combat on/off. You can also turn on "force behind", which will treat every mob as if you are behind it while the option is on. This is a temporary fix until I've had more time to implement manual overrides for location combat. For now, if you need to backstab but due to mechanics you are in front of the target, just toggle behind using the combat control. In addition I've added more settings in the main UI for cooldown usage, so when cooldowns are set to on in combat control, they will be used as per your settings in the main UI. Many thanks to everyone for their suggestions, and in particular royoneal213 for the combat control idea.
This is a bit off topic, just downloaded the new SVN trunk... gonna try it out now.. But, Can you give a good PvP spec for the assassination rogue? I seem to find 1223453452 different ones.. Cheers! // M
Hi again, Just tried the new SVN out, and I love the new features, but it seem to have dropped about 2-3k dps for me now for sum reason.. any thought on that? Did you change anything in the roataions that are significant? Otherwise, one love
Hey, the rotation shouldn't have changed at all. Is it using cooldowns? If not be sure to mess around with the cooldown usage in the UI. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft is probably the best PvP spec as assassination.
Yeah it uses them, got it st to use on focus, .. well.. anyways, still do about 22 on atraining dummy.. gonna mesh this one up for an hour or so in DS now, bbl with feedback.. And, LOVE the combat UI button toggle thingy
If you were trying it on the dummy, it could simply be due to city latency at this time. If I run it now I get 15.5k dps because of the ability delay of a full server during prime time. In three/four hours, on the same dummy I'll do 17.5k because there's no ability delay at all. I'm at uni early tomorrow so I have to hit the sack soon but if you're still having issues I'll run DS after uni tomorrow and see if I can find out what the deal is.
Fifty.. about the set bonus's... they are meant to change your play stile slightly to maximize dps..i will quote elitist jerks. "Set Bonuses This section is for covering the relative value of set bonuses and to discuss changes in play style if they produce any. [Jaws of Retribution] Your melee attacks have a chance to grant Suffering, increasing your Agility by 2, stacking up to 50 times. [Maw of Oblivion] Your melee attacks have a chance to grant Nightmare, increasing your Agility by 5, stacking up to 50 times. [Fangs of the Father] Your melee attacks have a chance to grant Shadows of the Destroyer, increasing your Agility by 17, stacking up to 50 times. Each application past 30 grants an increasing chance to trigger Fury of the Destroyer. When triggered, this consumes all applications of Shadows of the Destroyer, immediately granting 5 combo points and cause your finishing moves to generate 5 combo points. Lasts 6 sec. This is the progression of the set bonuses provided by the daggers leading up to the legendary dagger set completed in T13. The stacking Agility buff is pretty straight forward and lasts 30 seconds. In the case of Assassination, during Fury of the Destroyer you absolutely want to perform six finishers; do not worry about clipping Envenom and it is ok if you refresh Rupture during the proc (Envenoms and Ruptures done during the buff are not any more special than ones without the buff). [T13 2P] After triggering Tricks of the Trade, your abilities cost 20% less energy for 6 sec. (711 EP) [T13 4P] Increases the duration of Shadow Dance by 2 sec, Adrenaline Rush by 3 sec, and Vendetta by 9 sec. (388 EP) The 2pc will make using TotT on cooldown necessary to maximize your personal DPS similar to the T12 4pc. Keep in mind that during execute phase you may have trouble with capping and may need to weave in Mutilates in place of Backstab. The 4pc is fairly straight forward and extends your Vendetta to a 39 second duration, you may have trouble getting the full benefit of this for some encounters were you cannot attack the same target for 39 seconds."
