And if i remember right about that person.. was found to be a scammer pretty much (*****ed people out of accounts or gold i can't remember exactly its been while) BUT i could be wrong so ya.. if i am sorry .. if i'm not.. well ya

 

Here is the simple rule of life: If you see something that seem easy to make money, think again, why not everyone already jump on it ? If you can just set up a bot to collect resource for you, and let the cash flows in, what stop a similar kid like you in a 3rd-world country to do the same thing, for much less money ? Why you are different ? What separate you from the rest ?

This is an old industry, it already last for many years. Nowadays, I don't even think that it's profitable anymore, the risk is too high. Imagining you're trading drugs while the government sticks a camera recorder on your back, record every moves that you make, even when you go to the toilet. They have all the data they need to take you down whenever they want. You can pay the ransom fee to get out and start over again, but remember, you never be able to get out of their sight. They are monitoring you. Every single goddamn move.

That's why nowadays, only the big fish of the industry can be truly profit (they have the technology, the human resource to help them hide themselves, and increase their profit margin). The small fish just struggle for a living, think that they are making a small profit, until Blizzard hit them with the ban hammer. You are welcomed to try it yourself, but be warned: it's not as easy as you think it is. And be ready to pay a lot, for "learning from the mistakes". Good luck.

 

There are people that have made hundreds of thousands of real life dollars by selling in game currency. However, the key to doing this is getting in on the ground floor at the start of a new game. The people that are selling Rift currency are probably cleaning up right now. However, as more and more cash flows into the system those profits will decrease quickly. I'm sure people like Boss that run XX accounts are still doing ok. However, I think they would agree that the amount of $$ they are making per bot now compared to this time two years ago is hugely diminished.

At this point in WoWs history it would be very difficult for someone just starting out to make a substantial amount of real life money through gold sales.

yup, alot of people from 2004- 2009 made a ton of cash on WOW and it was a great time. alot of the get rich quick stories are from that time period, those of us who benefited from that still have our own memories and stories to tell and being human we tell them with cherry on top.

however it is now 2011 and those days are long gone. back then invest 10k USD and make 100k USD no sweat and keep on making 100k USD ...now in 2011 it's invest 10kUSD and MAYBE make 10k USD back but it takes 2 gold sales so u might not! harsh times.
