thats all I was wondering, I just never heard anything about it before had so im glad to hear this now thank you atleast your not on crack and extremly agressive the live patch was out 1 week on test realms and beta servers there was no difference between the live one on real servers and the live one on the beta servers at that point in time also another week before the live patch came out it was only a smaller patch so they only real difference between the two bot wise would have been the hook what your saying would be true 1-2months before the live patch but thats not what im talking about
The devs should not be worrying about SOTA right now, they could have easily fixed the offset situation, released it and worried about the SOTA issues for a later release. Essentially what's happeneing right now is the entire community is without a bot because we are waiting on one minor issue to be solved.
"the live patch was out 1 week on test realms and beta servers there was no difference between the live one on real servers and the live one on the beta servers at that point in time also another week before the live patch came out it was only a smaller patch so they only real difference between the two bot wise would have been the hook what your saying would be true 1-2months before the live patch but thats not what im talking about" So let me understand this.... you are really asking for justification as to the why the bot is down. By doing so you are saying you either do not understand or you don't believe the HB team has been working on the products since the patches released. What you are really wondering is why is the bot down when it's obviously something very simple to correct, because you are some sort of bot expert and believe there is a conspiracy in keeping the bot offline just because Bossland likes to read all the bitching and whining going on. Is that it? Morga
I think at this point its a self righteous complain to complain and not back peddle out of the complaint. After the admins explaining whats going on there shouldn't be any or at least much confusion or misunderstanding to whats what. Bosslands right when he put up the forced thread read people STILL put up a ton of WTF OMGAD QQ. I also believe they have been working MUCH harder than what they are making even if you assumed all users got lifetime which they didn't between monthly hosting costs and what I can only assume is probably Lower than most US minimum wage salaries for devs theres prob not much money left if any. I lost it when some one said fixing the bot costs nothing. Maybe thats because I am a development engineer and get it. The comparisons are outrageous too everyones comparing to dissimilar things my rage post compared to a real life software scenario had these guys looking like golden gods. Ill make another analogy thats dissimilar. Its like a pizza delivery kid trying to get to your house. They changed all the roads he was almost there. Then at the last moment as he could see your house from where he was they changed the roads again after he called you and told you he was almost there. Without knowing what to expect to get to your house he tries his best. BEFORE he even gets to your house you call him 2139213812974791239712397 times and tell him your not happy, your wife calls him your friend across the street calls him your dog calls him and everyone you ever played poker with and tells him his service is shit and expect better updates for said service based on your 12-50 bucks you spent on the pizza. I guess once he gets to your house you will punch him in the face and steal the pizza right?
I know little details of the behind the scenes work effort going on but here is how I keep it in perspective. "We" have a handful of very talented developers whom we paid to build a program that helps us "cheat" the Goliath that is now WOW- an app with perhaps 100s to 1000s of developers, consultants, and other advisors trying to protect its revenue stream as well as the literal integrity of the game. This same small team also has to account for the multitudes of professional gold farmers trying DDOS and everything else to bring us down... I've not been here as long as some, but I've read a lot of the forums and I'd say I am impressed what they have done so far for so long - what has made many of us "successful" and play the game the way we want to play it. So I say give them some slack - a few days here or there are nothing to ensure this entire community continues to operate smoothly and isn't exposed and shutdown.
People who aren't programmers will NEVER understand what is involved in a project such as honor buddy. And I will leave it at that.....
