Say you're in a raid or when you finish. You want to do profession buddy or switch CC's or a lot of other things.
I didn't mean in a row..... It was a metaphor bro. It takes about that many start stops (not back to back)
LazyRaider is the only "bot" I use in dungeons and raids. no plugins at all besides the default ones. I beleive it's the Refreshment detection and bug submitter. I turn off all addons too...besides Deadly boss mods cuz I need that for raiding
Bot always crashes for me, and i agree 110% with how the quality worse with each release, sometime get like 5 crashes a day, biggest annoyance is when im healing a dungeon or 2v2 arena and it will just randomly crash >.<
Maybe you guys should come out with an official LazyRaider type "bot" to add on to it since so many people use it
imo there is no need for an official LR,Bobby53 made nice job on his tool i want just to know if you got crashes only when using LR so we can check it and fix it
Ok I finally got the crash again. this time with INSTANCEBUDDY Level: 75 Rogue Where: Nexus What happened: It was doing fine following the tank but it ran off and started to attack mobs out of no where. I went to push stop because I don't want it aggroing the entire instance and when I did that Wow crashed and so did HB. CC: Fpsware Rogue, Also got the crash with Singular NO ADDONS ONLY BUG SUBMITTER PLUGIN INSTALLED and AutoEquip
Another crash. I pushed STOP right after a dungeon and he left que. (It wasn't on the loading screen) and it crashed cuz I didn't want it to do dungeons anymore. Screen shot
My bot crash's 9/10 time's when i click stop..hence why i got Glider to add a Stop healing button to his CC..coz stopping HB CRASH
I thought that it was a general rule not to run addons while botting? It is very possible that in 6 months a number of your addons were updated and there is no telling what that will do to the bot. Tony are addons recommended while botting?
Tony just +1 for your help, constantly with people posting countless issues ( including me ) But I agree with some posts I myself been getting crashes every night but nothing that makes me rage unlike the other night when i found the camle and rarekiller decided to do something else went to stop it and got a crash /wrists. But i guess it could be also because of addons ive got like 20 addons running. But most profiles ive been running have worked fine, just the odd crash.
Just for example, I'll post my logs of crashes I'm experiencing every day, for the past year or so. I did post them before, but who knows, maybe someone will pay attention to it this time... Also a list of addons I've used while botting: Auctioneer Auctionator badBoy Bagnon ItemDataChache LootFilter MailOpener Prat SellJunk TipTac WIM And SlideBar, Stubby libs I also did try to run without addons at all. And get same crashes anyway. P.S. Also added wow crash report
I can confirm the problem lies neither with plugins nor addons. It happens to me waaay too frequently also--VERY big pain for profile writing. Starting/stopping Honorbuddy too fast is not the cause of the problem, but merely one way to trigger the problem. There are other conditions that will crash it and the WoWclient when the Stop button is simply pressed once. The characteristic of the problem has the classical fingerprint of an unhandled race condition introduced by threading. There are legitimate reasons for starting/stopping Honorbuddy quickly--particularly when Honorbuddy gets into one of its many frequent 'dumbass modes'. This happens a lot when you quest. I've sent HBdev 25MB+ of HB and WoWclient logs over the past few months with this issue. The problem is either very hard to find, or most likely simply not a priority. cheers, chinajade
