No, it's based on logic. If you had a good business mind, you'd come to the same conclusion. No sense in arguing about it, though. Let's sit back and see what they ultimately decide to do. My money is on them keeping PVP.

      Yup...

No but it's all pvp's fault!

This reminds me of the burning of the heretics....

Lets find something to blame then mindlessly latch onto it! forgetting all the suicide farmers and people grinding mobs for epics and 10 bots in the same area grinding iron horde scraps. lmao....

Suicide farmers and goldsellers have hurt wow since the start of time, they have always moved to try and get rid of them.

I'd definitely quit then and want a refund on things i've bought recently. Don't mind arena being disabled... fine I accept that my combat routines dont have much use. But I grind ashran to gear up toons and i've never seen it behave in a stupid way. I watch it and it bots completely fine.... in fact as healer it contributes quite heavily to the team.

This is responsible botting you see, same as me. Fine if they want to remove bgbuddy so all retarded kids can't afk farming with it? go ahead but don't remove pvp support from honorbuddy. I don't even use bgbuddy.

Don't worry, they won't be removing it. I have a very good idea of what they are trying to accomplish with the Arena non-support enforcement, and it doesn't benefit them to remove AFK BG capability. BGs and RBGs are safe.

You must be working for Bossland than? I dont see people on the wow forums complaining about "that guy took my herbs" I see so many posts about BG's and just Bots in BG's. Its a huge problem, if it was not a huge problem why on earth would HB even say they are looking into removing it.

PVE botting does not make the Player to Player interaction at a disadvange while PVP botting does. More people would play RBG if there was less bots in it including myself but for 2 years BGS have been ran by BOTS and thats it just bots.

With Bossland removing botting in bgs will not take away all botters but a huge % since HB is the lead software for botting for WoW while the other crappy bots will get destoryed once blizzard goes for them just look at P**** got smashed and that was all about PVP.

Well this is just plain stupid. You can not blame other cheaters for your misfortune. Blame your self for botting on accounts you care about, and/or blame every HB user.

Yeah a few people has been complaining about how HB handles the pvp environments. I am sure that if the HB dev team wanted, they could have coded a few other routes in each BG, so we would not see 10+ bots running in a straight line. This is one of the many reasons blizz have waved the ban hammer, trust me it is not the only reason. Blizz have been against bots sinse D2.

      From WoW EU:
Forum results for Arena bot (876)
Forum results for Arena bots (1,365)
Forum results for BG bot (2,518)
Forum results for Battleground bot (689)
Forum results for Instance bot (584)
Forum results for instance bots (486)
      Forum results for Bot (23,472)
      Forum results for Bots (28,466)
Forum results for interrupt hack (252)
Forum results for botting in raid (668)
      Forum results for hacking (2,793

well that is just wrong, check point above

I play on EU, and yeah i saw around 1-5 bots each bg in day time, which is not the best, but also not the worst. At nights it was 10+. Yeah that sucked, but the good thing is that you and 1 or 2 friends can farm/outplay them (if we have to find a good thing about it)

Again blaming others for your wrong doing. You might not have abused PVP, but you still botted/cheated and got caught. And by the looks of it, this is your first wave. When a ban wave hits, it hits 80-90%+ no matter if you botted 24/7 or 1-2h a week. You cheat you get caught at some point, all botters should at least know this fact.

Fair wish if thats what you want.

There are always to sides of the same story. There are no needs for calling you names or for the PVE botters to call PVP botters anything. We all bot - we are in this together. Why would you hope any ill on other botter/people? Any way 95+% got a 6 month ban, so thats that.

I doubt they will remove all PVP botting, its still Honorbuddy, Honor as in honor points. If HB does turn off all PVP aspects of the bot, they should at least change the name.
But removing all PVP is like removing a huge pile of money, and at the end of the day, HB is a business, that is ment to make money. Again the WoW community has allways bitched about bots, even back in wow glider days, and before that there was another bot(forgot the name but it injected DLL's. its 8+years ;))and people complaint back then aswell. True it has gotten worse with the botting, but your cant point your finger and say xxx bots are the reason for every thing, its not that simple. When you play the most popular MMO, there will be other cheaters, and the more players, the more cheaters/hackers/botter. Its like saying its okay for me and a few friends to bot, but not any one else, because I want the advantage,it's a selfish statement.

I agree with you that PVP botting had gone out of hand. But your aproch is to remove every PVP apect of the bot and keep the PVE stuff. Instead of removing X part of a bot, you should try to fix it. I dont know which part of HB you use, but imagen that was the "main" reason for the ban wave, and you lost that.

"Reason" so not the entier reason? If you work for Blizz then you know if its true(I think you dont btw), if you dont, then its just your guess. I belive and think there are just as many other reasons why blizz waved the HAMMER OF BANZOR!

PVP - Arena - CR - questing - leveling - grinding - garison - AH botting - fish botting and the list goes on and on. I will not believe that PVP has any higher % priority at Blizz HQ, botting is botting.

My personal input. I am ready for the rage.

I do believe that PVP botters were the main cause of the ***** down on third party software. This is my personal view point so please be gentle with me.

Everyday on both EU and US forums people complained about bots in battlegrounds as it ruined the entire experience. In some cases screenshots ( reddit / MMO-champion) showed a team of 10 being up to 7 bots and 3 human, this is clearly unacceptable. It feels weird me being a bot user myself saying that it's unacceptable but this ruins the entire game for the WoW community which leads them to rock the boat until Blizzard takes action.
The last wave of bans in my view were a result of the boat being rocked so much. This has caused a crash for many people who don't use the bot for PvP caught up in the cross fire.

I did read a few pages of this thread and I agree that SOME users who gather herbs / ore are flying around like a beacon asking for the ban by using public profiles and being so lazy they see 2+ other people on the same path but just use it anyway. The reports for these are so minuscule in comparison to the damage caused by PvP bots and THAT is what drew the most attention to us all. Most people who dungeon farmed and gold farmed were out the way.

I hope PVP botting is stopped personally. Obviously everyone will have a different view.

Getting rid of arena shouldn't have been the answer. Getting rid of AFK BGs should have been. BGBuddy is a joke.
