Ok I will look into this more. My suggestion wasn't to add all the spells, just when you select 'disoriented' in the list you can see what spells that applies to (the user doesn't have to do anything more than select Disorient in the list, but they get more information about what spells it will break). Hmm When I go to fear on wowhead, it shows as Buff: Fear = Disoriented (just under the spell). I will take some time setting up my own prefered settings and see how close I can get it to perfect. Although I will need Every Man for himself working I couldn't select Silence in the list in your plugin. Trinket and Every man for himself break silence (as far as I am aware) Lastly can we set the preferred order on breaking CCs? If I have all my cooldowns and get feared I want it to use Lichborne, not desecrated ground, and not everyman for himself...How is this done?
Currently there is no way to adjust order other than by duration. So if you set Feared Lichborne 3900 ms / 4000 ms Descrated. You will use Spells then Racials then Trinkets in that order. I will fix Every Man and ensure the ordering tonight.
I definitely agree that presets are the ideal solution, so at least a user can buy the plugin and get some immediate benefits, and then they can tinker with the settings to perfect it for themselves. As it is now you might have people download the plugin to try it, see that it will take a lot of work or actually not know what the hell they have to do, and they will just not buy it. I am having a hard time with setting it up the way I want it, simply because there is little information anyway about what CC does what actual effect (is Fear a fleeing or disorient or what?) This is my ideal set up for my DK for Arena: SET ALL AS 4 SECOND+ DURATION ICEBOUND FORTITUDE Stun (all stuns) LICHBORNE Disorient (Fear, Howl of Terror, Psychic scream, Intimidating shout) Charm (Mind control) DESECRATED GROUND Stun (all stuns) Disorient (Cyclone, Fear, Howl of Terror, Psychic scream, Intimidating shout, Blind, Blinding light) Charm (Mind control) Incapacitate (Hex, Repentance, Freezing trap, Paralysis, Polymorph, Seduction) NEVER AUTO BREAK (Sap, all roots/snares/slows) EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF/TRINKET Stun (all stuns) Disorient (Cyclone, Fear, Howl of Terror, Psychic scream, Intimidating shout, Blind, Blinding light) Charm (Mind control) Silence (Strangulate, Frostjaw) Incapacitate (Hex, Repentance, Freezing trap, Paralysis, Polymorph, Seduction) NEVER AUTO BREAK (Sap, all roots/snares/slows) This is the tricky part: Setting up the plugin to do all this. I am confused by the CC types I can select (is Fear a Fleeing or a Disorient?) Will selecting Lichborne to break disorients such as Fear and Psychic scream mean it will try to break Blind and Cyclone, which are also disorients. Also Sap is counted as an incapacitate effect on wowhead (as all break on damage CC are, except Blind and Blinding light!!), however I never want to auto-break Sap, but I do want to auto-break Polymorph if the duration is long enough. In the end I think I would prefer setting this up spell by spell, rather than CC type, and the duration is global for everything, or for each CC break spell/ability. Yes, there are lots of stuns, but if it was already set up for me by default and all the CC spells have been added intelligently to each CC break when I buy the plugin, and all I have to do is remove some spells or add some, then I would feel more confident that it is going to do what I want it to do. BEST SCENARIO EXAMPLE: Icebound fortitude is already set up with a list of all stuns it will break and already set as 4 second duration+, and I can delete some stuns from the list or add any CC spell or ability to the list if I really want or if something is missing. Same with PvP trinket except longer list - All CC spells and abilities (not including snares/slows) already added to the PvP trinket section with the duration set at 4 seconds+, and I can add or delete anything from the list (like remove or add sap). This means it will work 'out of the box' for normal users, and can be highly adjusted easily by advanced users. (sometimes I wish I could code this stuff). Maybe a global CC duration for all spells for each CC break ability that can be adjusted one time, rather than for each spell individually. I know I am asking for a lot, and it will be a lot of work for you, rather than a lot of work for us individually! I also know you set this up as CC type, rather than exact spell, to make it easier and shorter lists, but I think with the lack of knowledge about what CC type each spell is, it makes it hard to impossible for us to get it perfect. Help! Later tonight I will test this extensively and see if I can get it working how I want it as it currently is. Maybe I just need to tinker with the CC types more. BTW Where did you get that list of all CC types you posted? It doesn't seem accurate to what wowhead is telling me.
I added the EveryMan fix. Working on the arrangement of spells atm to work by time. What it comes down to is that I would need to full redesign the plugin to use a SQL Database. I would also need to know every class in the game, their CC's, their glyphs for CC's and everything else. It would take an immense amount of work for me to get it so it can be used by spell level. What I should do though is get a list of all spells with Mechanics so I can provide a list to you all. (That is actually on the plate to do once I am done with my Ashran Plugin.) I think if I had a list of spells by MECHANICS we could discern more of what is needed. Atm with out having good comprehensive data, it is hard to say what is actually needed. I will ping you as soon as I have the mechanic plugin developed. This will make it easy for you to see what is what and we can go from there. The list of Mechanics I posted are from HB itself.
Ok great, I will test the Every man for himself now. I didn't have much time last night to test, but I did find two things. I wanted to test just Icebound fortitude on it's own. 1. I couldn't delete all my Desecrated ground settings. I would delete them, and close the plugin, and immediately open the plugin and they were all back. I had to delete them in the actual spells file in honorbuddy directory. 2. After I did delete everything, and set up Icebound Fortitude to break stuns of 4000ms it wouldn't work. I tested it many times and nothing would happen. I checked the spells file and it did have it correctly there, but just wouldn't work. Not sure what I have to do, or what the problem was. That was the extent of my testing last night. I will try more tonight, especially with EveryMan. I do understand it would be a lot of work, but if it worked easier more people might buy it, so it would pay off for you to get it working really well by just downloading and using, without needing to do anything
You are in luck that the main class I test with is DK'd. I also noticed what you noticed about IBF. I will have to double check the spellId. Edit: Save Testing till Tuesday next week. I work weekends so I dont have a lot of time to work on it during the end of the week.
I got Ashran Plugin more or less done. I have some more stuff to add BUT I did update this plugin also. I will work on getting a Mechanic Dumper with a list of spells for you to use.
I don't even know what totem stomper is. Are you still interested in the WoWMechanic Tracking Plugin?
It is a plugin that will kill totems as soon as they are dropped (eg Spirit Link). I guess the best way would be to select the totems you want to kill, in the order you prefer, and you select which of your abilities should be used to kill it, or melee/range attack. The WowMechanic Tracking plugin, is that for Ultimate Trinket. I actually haven't looked at the Ultimate Trinket lately or used it, simply because I couldn't get it to work optimally the way I would need it to for higher rated arena. I do use the Interrupt plugin (though I would still love to be able to select which spells to interrupt depending on which interrupt I select). Can you explain what the WoWMechanic Tracking Plugin does?
