Interesting stuff... Got a few questions for the devs if you have time to answer them. On a percentage scale of Not Ready for Beta, to Beta Ready, how far along would you say each component is? eg - Questing 20%, Nav System 50% With Object interaction for questing, will this allow for battleground tower/node interaction also? With questing, will the core bot feature an auto equip method based on quest reward and class, assuming it will choose the best reward based on stat criteria? I noticed a precompiled navigation mesh thing, will these come with HB2, or be like private servers when you extract maps and vmaps ect with a command file (not the same thing i know, just an example)? Basically.. 500mb download, or 5mb with 10min "map your own" exe file to do that for you? Thats all i'll pester you with atm!
I'll post up my thoughts, which may or may not necessarily be valid. Nav System is just about ready for dev testing. Questing is still far away and is still being written. Object interaction will be added, but I don't know if it will be setup to do bg tower/node interaction. I haven't heard anything about the core coming with autoequip, since MaiN wrote the autoequip plugin which works great as it is. The world meshes will come with HB2 (its about 500MB as you said).
cant wait to get my mits on this, just upgraded account to 5 session RaF and as soon as questing is released, i'm making my own 5 man team FTW!
Mhh yeah it will be a dream - never comming home (or see on cowstats) that my toon got stucked *__* (Btw. DING 58 at this moment xD)
I don't understand what the hazzle about object interaction is all about. We have had functions in HB that can interact with objects since day one. The function is called "Interact".
Well some quests involve interacting with items...picking them up and what not I assume people got confused by this and didn't know what the "interact" function does ^_^.
Mhh this maybe becomes a problem if Cataclysm comes out because of the new underwatercity. I think there will be some more areas underwater
