Where have all the herbs gone?

I too hope it's a bug-I just got 19 nodes (of which 11 were ghost iron ore), in about 45 minutes in Kun-Lai Summit. Compare that to a few days ago when I would fill my bags in about 2-3 hours depending on how many people were out.

But just to be safe, I bought all the ridiculously underpriced herbs to stockpile for a few days! =D

Mind you, this was a profile that used to hit over 300 nodes per hour. Going to start charging 500g per stack rofl.

 

People, what's the tragedy here?
If you have the gold, buy off as many normal priced plants/minerals on your servers and start selling them at 1000% value (or whatever you deem fair)... Supply rate change = price change. And most of you being experienced boters an stuff, I'm sure you do have the gold to move the market.

 

Seems perfectly fine for me at EU server, farming in valley of the four winds..

 

Not a single node in 30 minutes farming in Kun Lai.

edit: And 3 nodes in 2 hours in Hellfire Peninsula... what the heck?

 

gotta say: valley of the four winds works best for me too
making about 110 nodes per hour
still better than 80 nodes in 5 hours

i called blizzard an they dont even know that was happening the lady had no idea about it an that it was probably a bug

There was a blue post on the wow forums about this issue.

They said there were "looking into it"

I'd expect the spawn rate to go back up once they figure it out.

noticed mining bot flying round with nothing to mine also .... didnt see any other pple around. this sucks royaly

 

I hope this is the case for a while atleast. I have thousands of herbs sitting in my mail that I haven't felt like dealing with. Getting next to nothing for a stack or milling everything for the shoulder enchant, sucks either way.

Mining and Herb spawn rates in Pandaria have been reduced by approximately 50% in patch 5.1, and this is indeed an intended change. These are in addition to the hotfix that was applied in 5.0.5 to lower the spawn rate of Ghost Iron.

In all of these cases, the reduction was prompted because the resources were too abundant, resulting in ore and herbs being undervalued, and also therefore the effort that our herbalists and miners put in to collect each node. We’ll be monitoring the situation, though, and should the current rates prove to be too low then we’ll make further adjustments as necessary.

 

I agree the nodes have been nerfed, but i am still getting 200-250 nodes per hr.

 

That is ok. Now we dont need to have 100 auctions for 2k. The problem may be now about the profiles. Each person was able to make his own profile which is great and makes a lot. But in fact it was enough to create a profile that will circulate around.

 

The drop rate on Golden Lotus is beautifuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul though.
