Unfortunately I don't have as much free time as I'd like at present and this project has dragged out considerably longer than I expected, and as such I can't provide an accurate time frame for public testing. Before public testing starts I will at least be spending a week or 2 in closed beta testing.
You need more data let me know I need to somehow scrounge up mats to switch 3 toons to engineering before siege due to the necessity of alts in current content sigh
Today's progress - probably the last update before next Monday Added plenty of messages to HB's status bar so you can see what's going on, if you're into that kind of thing. Added more Horde mailbox and vendor locations; just Northrend to finish off and it should be complete. Consolidate a number of settings in the UI; more use of popup windows. Thanks to all those who have donated recently, you've kept my development accounts running for another month.
Remember to add a check on the number of guildbank slots if guildbank is full, then use mailbox with the remaining stacks I can hardly keep my bank empty enough to allow all my bots to deposit in it
PM sent, enjoy your beer/glass of wine/moccacino xD If you have the time, please reply Regards and look forward to FJ!
Vendoring and repairing is now working - again. This broke when I changed from XML files to the database. It still needs extensive testing but from this point forward it shouldn't be too much longer before closed beta testing.
EDIT: Was your question in regards to the mailbox and vendor locations or about the node locations? RE: Mail boxes and vendors, these have been populated by flying to each location and adding them to the database. I have used a character with almost no questing so no phased / quest accessible locations should exist. RE: Node locations, these dynamically populated from discovered nodes while Farmer Joe is flying around. My original idea was to pull the node locations from Wowhead but I went off this idea.
Just interested what is wrong with wowhead open database? is data wrong? are some nodes bad (unreachable for bot)? is it about phasing?
FPS, have any of the HB team contacted you about this? In terms of making it part of the official release, for ideas, etc?
I don't have anything against obtaining this data from WoWhead I just choose to go about it another way. In its current state there are hundreds of node locations per zone (most zones) and as new node locations are discovered they are automatically added to the database.
Progress update.... Well, none actually. Work has been incredibly busy over the last few days, and is likely to continue that way for the next few days. I'll be back working on Farmer Joe as soon as free time permits.
