Yeah Joe's is the same. Don't really want to spec shield. DPS should work. Are we expecting any fixes on this?
Does he counterattack when he is attacked? Sometimes i have the same issue and after a few complete restartes of bw and swtor it works.
He is attacking and using the PT-Pyro-skills but just not moving? I have the same issue with it. The advanced spec and pyro spec doesnt't work due to the reason that he won't move (bw is able to detect the correct spec). Skilling shield tech he is moving but just using rapid shots and flamethrower but last one even at 30yards range. My Arsenal merc is running flawlessly. I am a bit helpless with my Pt but still continuing to test. Everything above with Joe's. Does anyone know if the WingIt Shieldtech spec works?
I'm having some issues installing and running this routine. I've created a thread in the support section here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/buddy-wing-forum/buddy-wing-support-issues/108590-cant-get-bot-work-new-user.html
I'm running mizzles alderaan profile with the WingIt cc now. Skilled shieldtech and its working well, he is using all neccessary skills even guarding Mako. There is just one problem: sometimes he just stops running and logs out of the game.
I've just started digging into this, but is there a way to call the methods... CombatOff(), CombatOn() or CombatToggle() from a profile? I really want to limit the combat in the area I'm farming 'cuz there's a s**t-ton of trash mobs... Thanks! -J
This is odd, for some reason on each restart I have to delete the Wingit directory and copy a new one in there or I get a really long error. Next time I get it I'll paste it here.
As I've gotten to a higher level this combat routine really doesn't work very well for my operative anymore... It's gotten to the point where it has a hard time with equal level mobs now and you can forget about killing a gold mob :\ The rotation just isn't very good. On my lethality operative it doesn't even use all of it's poisons *edit Update* I've done some light messing with the combat routine for lethality and it's working a lot better. I still have a little bit of work to do because it still does some really stupid stuff, and I'm not a good coder at all, but I think I might be able to get this routine working a lot smoother. So far I've made it start using the corrosive grenade more often and weakening blast wasn't even in the rotation for some reason, so I added that too. I'll upload it here when I'm finished. *2nd edit* Right now it does something stupid where it runs away from the mobs after it's in melee range, shoots, and then runs back in range. I can't figure out how to get it to stop doing that, so anyone who's better at this stuff with me, if you have any input let me know
I noticed this as well with the Concealment spec. I actually just downloaded the "Fight At Joe's" multi-class (I haven't done any class stuff since waaaay back when, so instead of dealing with the priorityselector stuff I decided to cheat and mooch off of Joe's) and made some changes. I haven't had a chance to test yet with the patch, but hopefully it works (I'm thinking it should). As soon as I get concealment to run to my liking I'd be more than happy to help out with lethality.
That would be great. I actually switched back to Joe's out of frustration too. I made a change to Lethality in an attempt to get it to stop running around and now BW doesn't even recognize Wingit as a combat profile (how's that even possible? ) If you wouldn't mind throwing up your concealment routine I'd be more than pleased as punch to just use that I don't have a particular attachment to lethality, I just picked it up because it seemed like it would be the easiest spec for the bot to use. Also, how did you edit Joe's? I tried to find the routines for that and I couldn't find them
well that's interesting but I'm new to this feature and what should I do? how to install this for BuddyWing??? no information in first 3 posts at all...
Fab, it took me a while to figure that out too. You copy the Wingit folder and put it in your "buddywing/Routines" folder in BESIDE the "DefaultCombat" directory. Then, when you're in buddywing, you select Wingit from the Combat Routines pulldown menu. You should look into "Fight at Joe's" as well and see which one you like more (that one has installing instructions). Wingit is unreliable (for me). Either way you slice it, you're probably going to have to design your own Routine by modifying an existing one because I haven't found one yet that gave me an optimal rotation that wasn't customized. Maybe it'll be better for whatever class you play. Best of luck.
maaaaaaaaaaan thanks a lot, I will try to check which one is more suitable for my Marksman Sniper! much appreciate!
my buddywing doesn't see the WingIt line when I select Combat Profile in 'Settings', it sees only DefaultCombat and that's all... what can I do here? I'm stuck with this one...
If your WingIt folder is in the right directory, next to (not in) DefaultCombat, it should load automatically when the bot is started. Which directory do you have it in exactly?
right near the DefaultCombat in Routines with the same folder structure that's what I've done now - I deleted DefaultCombat and left only WingIt folder, and now it is loaded automatically once I put the char on the right grinding spot I will test the WingIt combat behaviour
as I've said before, WingIt isn't detected by BuddyWing I placed everything correctly, bot detects correctly even Fight for Joe's but WingIt can't be detected, only DefaultCombat is presented in the list
Hey guys, just wondering how I get this to work with Buddywing. Not sure exactly what to do since I'm new to this.
