This post just about explains it all (not to mention carpal tunnel/tendonitis - this saves what's left of my hands/wrists). If they shut HB down, very small chance that I'd continue to play.

Let's be real here....from a business perspective I am not 100% convinced Blizz wants us gone anymore. Maybe back in 2010 at their pinacle they did but the truth be told Blizz #1 objective is and will always be making money for their investors and if subscribers are not coming like they were they have but a few choices:

      1) Try to revitalize their brand to try to restore brand confidence in an effort to increase their non botting base allowing them the ability to shed botters.
      2) Maintain a small banhammer in an effort to appear to be doing something while keeping the door open for botters to return. What this does is to maintain or increase revenues from the new product sales as a result of the banning while simultaneously adding new ways to generate cash flow.

I don't see slamming the door on botting as a viable option unless they are able to revitalize the brand. If WoD is successful then maybe a time to impliment a final solution but that too runs the risk of small blow up and then massive shut down where botters out and out leave and their increases are shortlived and the long term becomes quite grim. I believe like all expansions the excitement is relatively shortlived usually 1 to 2 quarters only at which point the sales start to slip.

This is all my opinion but stats show their sales on a relatively steep decline over past 3 to 4 years. That makes shutting us down not a sound business decision. You can say what you want about how we are affecting their AH and how their non botters hate us but we make the AH better for non botters and they know it also. If not for botting Ghost Iron Bars would be 700g a stack or more because the most you are going to see on the AH is 10-20 stacks total (maybe small exageration). This is the same with everything and it would make the first few months a nightmare for non botters. Eventually it may stabilize at lower prices but how many people will leave the game by then because its too hard to get gear. Imagine for a moment your most active realms AH looking like the neutral AH in terms of selection.

      anyways just some thoughts.

I'm not upset at all, actually, I'm just bored with the game in general. Honorbuddy is what keeps me here. Plain and simple. Also, I'm not sure where you're sensing that i'm upset with Blizzard. Not sure if you misread the post or not, but that's not what was stated. My statement was stating this: If I were to get banned i'd actually not care. It would keep me away from the game and that's cool with me. Of course I'm the one cheating, duh. Lol

I only play because of the bot, and I only enjoy the game with the bot.

After 9 years, the game has become so taxing, so button mashing.... This is not the game I started playing forever ago and the game I fell in love with. So I turn to alternative methods to make the game fun and easy again, one of them being honor buddy, another I will not post here. Farming is just ridiculously time consuming with being all grown up like I am now, and with how much farming it actually takes to get any enjoyment out of the game the way the economy is, only honor buddy makes it possible.

I only hope they can come out with an announcement of information and if needed, a solution to all the tripwires going off lately. Thanks honor buddy developers for working so hard.

Most of those sub losses were in Asian markets. The US/EU markets has dropped about 15% from that hay day. The main chinese gaming company is pushing the new Korean MMO's and changes to how long chinese people can stay on the internet so the 5 million loss does not really have any application to our bearing.

Master...wrong.....money is money. That is 5 million subscriptions they won't get....their financials is showing massive decrases also on their P&L.....

What I am saying is their financial picture is not good and decreasing botting affects their dollars in all markets.

No I wouldn't, I enjoyed wow before I got HB but now the menial tasks like gathering herbs for potions or mining for prospecting doesn't seem like a necessity anymore. I feel as if I'm just wasting my time now and that I could be doing something else, like finishing my homework for college or working out or something useful.

To be perfectly honest HB has actually gotten me in better health than I was ~4 years ago when I first bought it. Since then I managed to keep a 3.5 GPA in college lose a few pounds and just overall make my life better. I don't need to spend 3 hours a day in addition to raids 4 nights a week in order to keep pace with the rest of the guild and actually I make it so that no one else does either. No one needs to farm mats for their flasks because I keep the bank stocked, someone needs a gem? No problem I probably got 10 of that type, you need a scroll enchant for sure bro I got you. We need to get a new member somewhat geared so he can actually progress shiiiit bro here's some BOE epics I crafted. Someone needs to level a profession for rading? Well I just so happen to have a complete kit I can give you to get you to 525 at least.

They haven't had to do anything when it comes to farming mats or anything, people can do what they want and if that stopped and they had to keep their own guild afloat well they would last until the mats dried up and the gold reserves ran dry. If I lost access to honorbuddy my guilds raid team would fall apart and most would unsub I guarantee it.

A lot of people say that bottings takes the fun out of the game. To me I love it, I enjoy botting shit sometimes I will sit at my comp and watch the bot every now and then, I do that to watch to keep up appearance's for like whispers, guild chat etc. But most of the time, no one really bothers me in-game so I'll just sit there and watch it. I hate leveling, and doing professions. I do like Raiding though. It's nice to bot a toon from 1-90 then I'll play legit raids / dungeons to get gear. I never bot dungeons / raids I only bot to level / farm for gold.
Anyways botting as joy to the game, so I don't have to deal with the annoy small crap and get only the fun out of the game for me like raiding. So if bots didn't exist I probably wouldn't still be playing.

Let's be honest, the actual game is boring as hell, and has been going down hill in quality with each expansion. However, I find being able to write profiles and watch HB execute them is absolutely fascinating. I don't care if they ban my account, it would give me a reason to finally stop playing. There is no way in hell I'm going to sit here and press 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 3, 2, 1 and manually farm valor, rep, etc. That's not "gameplay", it's just boring grinding. But man, there's nothing better than writing a profile, going afk for an hour, and coming back to find that rare mount/legendary/etc dropped.

The bot is back up btw.

HB was the only reason I started playing WOW again if it or another program as good wasn't available I would stop paying the 6 subs I have for sure. Or if Blizzard now bans all 6 accounts that's it for me was a good run but the game is boring, that's why im botting still even with tripwire, if it's done it's done, if not then I might stay around till WOD.

When I first started playing WoW back in TBC, I rolled a huntard. I played manually and I was highly casual. I played with friends, did quests, did a few dungeons, always last on the DPS meters because I knew nothing about rotations and such. Well, Wrath came out and I found HB. I was apprehensive at first because I didn't want to get banned, but I bought it flat out after asking a few questions. I played my DK manually by making /castsequence macros to DPS with, and often times I was usually mid-range on the DPS meters. Then I really got into using HB and I saw the magic in the bot. All this was before I went blind though. My health caused some vision problems, and I ended up having three surgeries on my eyes. My left eye wasn't salvageable, sadly. However, my right eye was saved, albeit not completely. I'm close to being 20/20 in my right eye, but it has distortions. Needless to say I can't draw anymore, it's extremely hard to write, and some other things are pretty hard to do that I used to take for granted. I tried playing WoW manually with my limited vision and was completely lost. I couldn't see to do much of anything aside from move around and click on things. Now, I highly depend on HB to do mostly everything for me except move. I can still move around, and thanks to DBM's huge warnings, I know when to move out of the fire, so to speak. If HB were to be shut down, I'd give up playing WoW entirely and I would try and sell my account.
